wow, I was so busy yesterday that I didn't get to post! Yesterday: breakfast-strawberry smoothie, lunch-tuna and english muffin, dinner-spaghetti sauce on top of spaghetti squash instead of noodles. Today: breakfast-not sure, gonna go look, lunch-left overs from dinner last night, dinner-who knows! How did everyone else do???
Did pretty food yesterday... Today's breakfast was a banana and some yogurt. I haven't had lunch yet but I'm thinking a turkey sandwich and some celery and salsa. Dinner??? Most likely a turkey burger and a pepper and the left overs of a tomato salad from last night.
Turkey burger....yum..... I put ground turkey in the spaghetti sauce....it was dinner last night...Kevin didnt' even notice....it was really good. Of course, they had real noodles while I had the spaghetti squash.
I use ground turkey for almost anything that calls for ground beef. Another good substitute is ground chicken but since there is very little fat it can be dry. I just add a bit of onion juice and some other spices andit's fine.
I think I'm going to start doing that...I need to get as much beef outta my diet as possible...I am a beefeater for sure.
I eat very little beef at this point. Usually the only time have it is when I go out and order a steak or my Mom makes a roast beef.
I'm not eating much meat at all lately, mainly because of the cost and me pleading backpacker poverty! Anyway, I digress; Yesterday I had - multigrain toast, fruit juice, few cups o' tea, small low fat bag of crisps, apple, 3 huge carrots, ham & tomato sandwich, and a salad with one wrap on side for tea - it had beef (ok, meat today!), courgettes, tomatoes & peppers in. Yum! Had cornflakes this morn and have made a salad for lunch (resulting in me missing the Xpress bus, hohum!). Also have apples & low fat crisps to eat. Dunno about dinner, rice I'm thinking with veg. When I get into wherever I move to for my last 6 weeks in Sydney, I'm gonna make sure I eat better as am sure it's gonna be nearer City for cheapness meaning nearer Temptation takeaway shops...
