    Homemade sauerkraut is delicious !!!
But tastes a little different from the processed kind we find in grocery stores.

I love all kinds of cabbage.....sauerkraut, cole slaw, haluski, stuffed cabbage, etc

Just finished the salad and it was delicious, Jen.

The olive oil has fat but it's the good kind fat. I thought I had balsamic vinegar but I didn't so I susbstituted red wine vinegar.

A slightly different taste but very good. I'll definitely use that again.

I forgot to add that on the soup I put mine (after it cools) in a blender and puree it for a few seconds to get the consistancy I like in potato soup.

Red wine vinegar eh, I don't think I've tried that but I want to. I've got some sweet chilli sauce that I've been popping on my salads too. It's not too fattening but I only use a drop anyway *yum*

    Haha, just got this email, appropiate for this thread (dunno why re: the Canadian bit though!);

    THE PASTA DIET

The Pasta Diet and Your Health
ITALIAN PASTA DIET -- IT REALLY WORKS !!

1.. You walka pasta DA bakery.

2.. You walka pasta DA candy store.

3.. You walka pasta DA Ice Cream shop.

4... You walka pasta DA table and fridge.

    You will lose weight!

    And...
For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting Nutritional studies.

    1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Canadians.

    2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Canadians.

    3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Canadians.

    4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Canadians.

    5. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Canadians.

    CONCLUSION

Eat and drink what you like.

Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

    Cute...

If only I could eat and drink what I like. But I was not born with the genes to do that. It so annoys me that some people can all the wat and never gain an ounce.

It is annoying isn't it, I'd love to have taht kind of metabolism.

Theres a girl here I'm working with though who is naturaly a size 8 (USA size 4) and she gets annoyed when people (i.e. our boss!) say to her "god, you're so skinny, it's not fair" as she can't help it. No matter what, she can't change her shape.

Is anyone ever truly happy with their lot, I wonder?

You will dig out all recipes for us!

I have decided that I can't give up drinking (that makes me sound like a right alcy!) for this diet as I'm out a lot at the mo so I shall be drinking the lowest-fat option ever = vodka with slimline tonic
