way to go Karan! Thats great!

Well, I went to church tonight...and got a challenge set before me. As most of you know, I am one of the Teen Youth Leaders....and we have a missionary program that we (the teens) pledge to support throughout the year to help with various costs that different missionaries world-wide encounter.

Last year's goal for our youth group was $15,000....we got $15,100.00...so its not just a little bit of money coming from our youth towards a great cause, its quite a bit from such a small group.

Anyway, tonight, I was challenged by the Praise and Worship Leader for the entire church, who is also a Youth Leader, that she could lose more weight than me. So what we are doing is the kids (and adults in congregation) are going to be able to place 'pledges' for each pound lost...and all of the money raised will go to the Speed The Light ministry that helps the missionaries. The person will pick their 'winner' they think will win the challenge, and everyone that pledges to that person, and if their person wins, will have a big pizza bash party thing.

I am unsure of the length of time....I'll let you know when I find out....but it will be at least for a few months so we can get as much in for pledges as we can.

Now I have to WIN....not only for myself...but for the good that it will bring many people! Talk about pressure!!!!

**edited amount raised last year, I was wrong initially! sorry!
