Yes...Michael...coffee is NOT on your healthy eating plan....go buy at least a box of breakfast bars, or granola bars or something to put in your desk for days like this!

I have bought two boxes...unfortunately, when at home am preoccupied with other issues. And every a.m., the routine includes changing, feeding, and dressing the kids so I can take 'em to day care before I even can drive to work. No time to think of everything else. Guess I'm still adapting to parenthood here.

Hard habit to break not eating breakfast...still working on it. It has been easier for me to give up snacking in the evening, but breakfast UGH just dont want food. Had yogurt this morning...after had been up 3 hours but still counts as breakfast doesn't it if I ate it at 8 am?

I like breakfast in the a.m., too. I don't care whether it's a couple breakfast bars, taquitos, the #1 meal at McD's, or the Colorado omelette at IHOP. I like breakfast...it's just not high on my overtaxed brain's to-do list in the a.m. during the workweek.

hahaha@ Michael's list of choice breakfasts....no wonder his cholesterol is what he wants to lower

Well, a big :cheerleaders: for me....I fixed the kids what was on the menu...grilled ham-cheese sandwiches, tater tots, pineapples, milk....and I did not even sneak one bite of any of it!

After I got them all down for nap, I cleaned off the table...VERY hard not to nibble on my own daughters plate....but threw it all away...made my turkey wraps. However, my avocado that I cut up to put on it wasn't great looking, so I threw it away and put some fresh sliced mushrooms on it instead with the turkey/lettuce/mustard.

    Yum yum.

Made up for my low/no cholesterol breakfast this a.m. by having a fried portobello mushroom sandwich on ciabatta bread with grilled onions and a sweet tomato relish. Side of steak fries and a tall cool glass of H2O

Lunch today was so so I guess.

We had a birthday in my office and went to Olive Garden.

I had one small helping of salad ( a huge change for me) and the linguine alla marinara which has 5 grams of fat and about 280 calories.

    Not sure about dinner tonight....

And Tonya..I love mustard on just about everything too!

wow, good for you Karan! I would have caved and ate about 6 breadsticks....of course, I get to eat at Olive Garden about once every year or less! They use to have one by my work when we lived in Texas, and we got their salad to go all the time....and breadsticks of course. :)

    I love their breadsticks...yum yum!

    Thanks Tonya.

Not eating the breadsticks was easy for me but it was the salad that was hard. I just love their salad and usually have quite a bit of it.

But, knowing I had to fess up to all of you helped me order right and avoid the Temptation of the salad.

This dieting thread has ceranly made it easier for me to do the right thing. I live alone so if I screw up the only who will know is my dog so knowing that I have to be honest with you is a huge huge help.

    Thanks to all of you!!!!

I totally agree about how this thread is helping....because on a normal day, I would have definitely been nibbling on the tots or grilled cheese/ham sandwiches.

Now...we'll have to get through snack time....lol. They are suppose to have cookies
(only twice a month on the menu...so its not often they get them)
