As soon as kids are ready I am off to drop them off then the gym. Seriously NOT motivated to get on machines today, but trying on Cancun clothes I did fit in a pair of shorts that were too tight a couple of weeks ago and knowing its really working is helping.
Question: I hate eating breakfast...really have to force myself so any good ideas of some non breakfast style foods (don't like cereal or eggs at all)??
    Happy Monday to everyone!

I'm like you. Breakfast foods just don't cut it wih me.

I can do fruit and yogurt though.

Also, a few slices of turkey breast and a piece of low fat cheese seems to do the trick for me. Maybe add a bit of reduced fat cream chese.

Breakfast... i just to make myself smoothies in the morning... i'd just put them in a large travel mug and drink them on my way into work every morning. They are surpringly very filling. I used to have a web site with tuns of recipes.. i'll see if i can find it and post it later.

    I was close.

Smoothies sound like a good option for breakfast.

I did predictably terrible. I went to visit my extended family in Pennsylvania to celebrate the Orthodox Christmas and all the traditional food that goes with the Christmas Eve dinner

Pierogies-a-plenty, wheat and honey, raisin bread, my great grandfathers recipe of whiskey flavored with honey and everything else. I ate smaller portions than I would have liked to, but I could not pass on any of the food without breaking tradition. So today is a new day and back to the grind of dieting.

I have smoothies for breakfast - but add some seeds to it aka the Food Doctor - as it fills you up more.

Jen - I think you forgot to tell Karan about the pizza you ate on Friday - or were you that drunk you dont remember eating it!!!!!

On the confessions - I ate chocolate on Saturday and a piece of left over Xmas cake!!!!!

So fresh start today - apart from the fact that I have just eaten a doughnut for lunch - so not doing so well!!!!!

woohoo... finally.. took a little digging, but here is the web site that i used to kick start my smoothies. I eventually stopped using the recipes and did my own variety.

    www.smoothie-central.com

One tip that i found worked great for the smoothies is, buy your yogurt in a large container and free it in ice cube trays. Then in the morning you can just use a few yogurt cubes for your smoothie. Also if you pop them in the microwave for about 20 secs or so they will thaw out just enough so your blender can crush them better.

    ha...I did 'okay' I guess

I ate fine on Saturday, and Sunday we went out to dinner after church with our group of friends...and I ordered grilled chicken taco salad (mexican resturant)...it was terrible, so I ate chips and salsa mainly...then didn't eat anything else bad until after church on Sunday night...had two slices of pizza...not huge slices...it was 1/4 of a medium pizza. So not too terrible. (I hope!)

I did go to the gym on Saturday night after I got hacked off at the Cowboys losing that game...   I was steamed. Worked well though...I was through 3/4 mile on the treadmill in no time...I had no idea I was going so fast! lol. Did my 30 minutes on that, some crunches...no weights...there were 3 guys (I'm sure were nice) that were working out on the other side...so I just stuck it out on my side doing what I could. Then tanned for 16 minutes.
