Denise, You're allowed to have a treat every now and again. The key is to make it an occasional thingand not do it everyday. Don't beat yourself up over it. Just jump right back in tomorrow!
Oh I know....but I wanted to make it through the first week w/o being bad I hopped on the eliptical as soon as I got home Especially now that I know BBG is in my future
I did so so with the eating and not good with the exercise. I made sure to eat breakfast, light mid morning snack (special-k bars), light lunch and supper each day. No random snacking and careful of portions. Only exercise I got this weekend was packing, weighing, unpacking, repacking, reweighing (LOL bathroom scales have a good use!) and finally deciding to take another suitcase. Got lots of stretches reaching up for hubbies clothes since he put them on top shelf of his closet and even with step stool hard for me to reach. Plans on going to gym right after dropping kiddies off at school tomorrow and will do extra time to make up for weekend.
:bigwave: hi everybody.... i have to admit.. i didnt get a chance to read all 11 pages .... but i'd love to join you guys too. I haven't been on the board much, my son's been keeping me busy, but he'll be 6 months old on wednesday and its time for mommy to get her a$$ in shape, no more excuses. I haven't stepped on the scales in a really long time, but first thing tommorrow morning i will as well as take measurements of my body. Then i will start the battle with you guys (if you'll have me).
Yep, jump right in! I was TERRIBLE this weekend Got steaming drunk on Friday, consolation being low cal mixers in my vods But this meant I was ill on Sat, so no food which is v.unhealthy. Back on track yesterday with cornflakes & no sugar, sushi, mini choc bar and homemade meatballs with veg for tea (basically mince beef & onion for the 'balls). I also went to 2 art galleries meaning that I walked around them & Sydney for a good 4 hrs yesterday. Just ate sushi for lunch today.
thanks guys Im no stranger to the losing weight battle. Before i got pregnant i had lost about 90lbs and was about 20 or so away from my goal. I'd be happy to share and answer any questions anyone has... what i did might not work for everyone, but some of it might help some ppl.
Good for you, Isabelle!!! Unfortunately, I'm no stranger to losing weight either. At one point about 10 years ago I weighed over 220 lbs. I think everyone has their own way of losing weight but the great thing about chatting here is that we can share our ways and learn some new ones...and get some support when we want to give up.
most definately Karan. I used to be in a group called TOPS, i never really join in any of the group activites, but it was a place i went to every week to fess-up to what i did the previous week. I found that it gave me the motivation to have a good week. I think this thread might serve as a similar place for me.
