The one thing I have noticed is that I'm sleeping through the night better...no more waking up 2 or 3 times. That maynot seem like much but at night si when I have huge snacking urges so sleeping straight through cuts out my midnight (or rather 4 am) snacking. I kind I do that because that's just about the time Dany and eat at night if he's been working nights....and that's a habit I will have to break in Cancun.
I dread being invited to parties or going out to dinner, it's so hard to make good choices with all the Temptation. My friend wants to go out for dinner and drinks tonite, and I'm already thinking about what I will have:grilled fish, veggies and salad - and Perrier! Oh but those vodka n crans are calling to me!!!
everyone seems to be doing well. so far i am doing ok with the food but not getting to the gym. i'm hoping that after istart my new job i'll get to the gym. katie
What? no Street Meat?! If you lose weight in Cancun, shouldn't you keep the same routine...................at least one night when I'm there?  Yea, I Know, I have to find ways to not set myself back too! George
You're right...Cancun is not my down fall. It's once I get home. And really even though we eat late it's not like I'm adding an extra meal. Dany and I eat 2 meals a day while I'm there for the most part....one of them is just late. And I do lose weight while there so I probably shouldn't mess with a system that works. Besides, George, street meat isn't late....it's early. About 7 or 8 am...breakfast!!!
Actually, it was dinner tonight... It was good...I had a turkey burger with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. I skipped the fries and substituted steamed veggies and a side salad. Thanks for asking.
That sounds really good! I like Turkey burgers too, but it still be tough not to choose somthing a lot more fattening! It would be hard for me to leave out the cheese, though, thats one of my major weaknesses! (And somthing I'm just gonna have to do!) The ground turkey meat is good in Mexican food if you spice it up. George
I've been using ground turkey when a recipe calls for ground beef for quite some time. And if you're making a turkey burger at home you don't necessarily have to omit the cheese. The reduuced fat cheeses have come a long way and melt quite nice now. A friend gave me a new cookbook the other day...The Biggest Loser Cookbook and it's great. Most of the recipes (which are all easy to follow) are for just one or two people. They have a recipe in there for a Not So Fast Food Burger....reduced fat cheese, 1/ 4 lb per burger of lean ground beef, lettuce, tomato, onion, light mayonaise, pickle, ketcup and mustard on a toasted wheat bun. I had it the other night and loved it. Another good substitute is buffalo. It's leaner than beef but still has similiar taste. I like it. Ground chicken is good too.
    Bad today.....the family roped me into Coldstone's for ice cream     After I was sooooooo good last night
