Can't say that I've ever tried them, sound good. Been reading this thread off and on. I've joined a program through work called Healthy Road. This coach calls me once a wk. to go over goals and give me advice on how to achieve them. Problem, I can't seem to reach half of them. I just cannot seem to get myself motivated at all. I'm 5'6" and could stand to lose about  oh well you know alot of weight in my eyes Karen, the allrecipes is a good site, As a member for awhile now can't say I've ever tried any of them, don't like cooking to much, only reason I do is for the kids. I'll stop rambling now, point is does anyone have any ideas for motivation I need help pleeeeeassse.
I think everyone finds motivation differently but for me it is all visual. I have a picture of me taken in Dec on my fridge. It is what inspire me to join Curves and start a diet in the first place. Seeing it makes me think before I grab something that I shouldn't out of my fridge. I also have my two piece bathing suit hanging up over the door of my bedroom so I see it all the time. Reminds me that if I want to stay in it I need to watch what goes in me.
Those are great motivations Karan. For me its exercise and being active in sports. I keep telling myself that it takes a good hour of high impact exercise.. such as biking, running to burn off the calories of 1 chocolate bar... an you must exercise more to burn off the rest of your calorie intake for the day on top of that..... thats my motivation for staying away from 'junk' foods
well i did it this morning... i braved jumping on the scales... and low and behold SURPRISE... im down 10lbs :michaelf: I still have a good ways to go, but its finally going in the right direction.
Let's lose some weight! Yes, congrats, Isabelle, and thanks you guys for some tips. I will try my best to come up with a plan I can stick to.
Re: Let's lose some weight! That's the key...coming up with a game plan you live with. The best diet in the world won't help you if you can't stick to it. Besides...it shouldn't be a diet at all. It should be behavior modification when it comes to eating and exercise.
