Teri, it is Progresso Soup and they have several diferent Light varieties.

I tried the Vegetable and Barley as well as the SouthWestern but I believe they have six different ones to choose from.

I didn't get that PM, Reggie. Send it again if you don't mind.

I didn't make it to the pool hardly at all this past trip except for a few moments to talk to Herbert.

Hopefully I'll get some real pool time in December...

Good Morning Karen!!!! How many days a week do you go to curves? And, how long does it take when you are there? Don't you do like a circuit type training or something like that, some type of rotation? Thanks for the info on the soup!!! Will go today and get some. Gotta love anything with "0" points. WHOO HOO!!!!!

    Re: diet

    Hazel,

I go to Curves at leat 3 times a week and sometimes for.

It cost me $28 a month and it's $$$ well spent in my opinion.

    It is circuit training.

You go around the circuit 2 times alternating between being on a machine for 30 seconds (yes, 30 seconds) and a recovery pad where you can walk in place or do anything you want to keep your heart rate up but also give you some time to recover between machines. You are on each recovery pad for 30 seconds as well.

The whole thing takes about 30 minutes and then you stretch for about 5-10 minutes before leaving.

The first 3 times you go they have a trainer go around the circuit with you to make sure you are doing it correctly. I wouldn't call any of the machines high impact but if you do have back problems or knee problems there are a few machines they tell you to skip. If that's the case you do an exerse behind that machine for 30 seconds ot stay on pace.

You're working out to high beat fast paced music and a recording tells you to "move to the next station" every 30 seconds so you know exactly when to get off each machine.

I love it and couldn't be happier with the results.

They also run a diet class for 6 weks every couple of months but I havn't done that and if you're doing weight watchers you wouldn't need to either.

Let me know what you think of the soup!

    diet

Alright you talked me into it. I've called curves and I'm going this evening after work. I am looking forward to it, hope I have as good of results as it sounds like you have. The curves in Hot Springs is only about five to ten minutes from the house so it will be handy when I am at home.

We have a fitness center here at the hospital that we can use for $6.00 per pay period but when I am done here the last thing I want to do is stay in this building one minute longer.

Well hopefully when we return to BBG and I have to switch swim suit bottoms with Frank I will fit into his skinny pants a little better next time. The pictures from last time are a little scarey!!!! There is more going up and over the top of the shorts than are in them!!!! If you think just reading those words sound scarey you should see the picture. I'm not sure which is worse me the muffin top or Frank in a skirt.

Good for you, Hazel!! let me know what you think of it.

Funny thing is that it was a picture of me in Cancun that got me to Curves in the first place.

I just didn't like the way I looked and guess I never really noticed the weight gain had snuck up on me until I saw a picture of myself. It was a HUGE motivator.

Good luck tonight...I hope you like it as much as I do.

If you see this post before you, make sure an ask them about any specials or promotions they are running. Here if you join now you get a month free before you start paying. And there always seems to be some promo going on.

Anyone (is there anyone even out here?????) tried those panini sandwiches from Lean Cuisine??

I just had the Philly Cheese sandwich and have to say I was quite impressed...and the grilling sheet really did make it come out of the microwave crispy.

350 calories...7 WW points....8 grams of fat. Not too bad.

But it really is only half a sandwich if you know what I eman so I'd suggest adding a small salad or something if you are really hungry.

Next up to try is the Chciken Tuscan panini.

Okay...I think I'm talking to myself but just in case someone's out there reading this.......

I found a great website for recipes. www.allrecipes.com

I found some delicious and healthy recipes on there. It gives all the nutritional info for each serving.

The best thing about it is once you find the recipe you want, you can choose how many servings you want and the recipe will adapt inself to your request.

That's good news for me who is only looking for a recipe with 1 or 2 seervings...not 8. I don't mind leftovers but making so mauch of anything means some of it usually goes to waste.
