It's only happenned to us once! We decided to forgo TTR one fall and went to Panama instead...... Big mistake, big let down. Got off the plane when we got home, called the travel agent and went back to TTR the following week , for the best make-up vacay ever!!!! The hype makes it great!!
Never been let down after 8 trips. It seems to get better each time which kind of surprises me. I think we just get more comfortable with the place, and when you are comfortable you meet more people and that is what makes the place so great.
Every year I get OCD about it thinking there's no way this trip can be as fun as the one before it and every year ends up being the best time I've ever had. It really helps in some regards that we have a great group of friends and we only get to see each other once a year so we always find a way to sqeeze as much fun as humanly possible in.
34 times to TTR and never a bad time. Vacations are like life if you want to have fun no one can stop you.
It's always better, we have been around 16 times give or take a trip or two, and the only thing I get tired of is the food. We where there last fall and hit by a Huricane the night before we left and we where just hoping our flight would be canceled the next so we could stay another day, It ended up as a Topical Depresion and our flight wasnt canceled
Don't really see how it can be a let down especially when your on the forum and almost getting to know people. So its like your partying with your friends when you get there. Guess some stff could go wrong and be a let down. Example, I tore my knee in Cancun last month and am still on anti-inflammatory medication. Trying to avoid arthroscopic repair. I keep telling myself its not that bad. Still it did not ruin our trip. I was bummed we were with the kids at another all inclusive and not TTR. That was our letdown.
This will be our third trip next week. The first trip was amazing....last year, not so much. Security was up my hubby's ass all week and really ruined our trip. Nothing like the first trip... We almost decided not to come back this year but we are and hopefully we won't be let down! We still met awesome people though and that's the best part.
I worried about this too, especially whether the second trip would ever live up to the first. No worries...it will be what you're hoping for and then some!
