The Memories Grand Bahama Beach and Casino Resort was our destination in April, 2014. The hotel is located about 30 minutes from Freeport Airport. Our room was large located on the fourth floor, with two comfortable beds,a balcony. A/C. was O.K.. The food at the Memories was OK. There are two a La Carte restaurants. Japanese Nagano and the H Steak House. No dress code, come as you wish, baseball caps, shorts, babies in strollers. The main buffet “Selections” had a choice of fresh food and a cooking stations for meat and fish. It was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was no reservation at the Steak House but you had to line up for at least 40 minutes before opening. The Italian restaurant was an outdoor. The Prop Club was a fast food joint. At night it became also a very loud Disco. At Beans Café good coffee. The grounds are nice, the pool is large. The beach was nice with soft sand. We enjoyed visiting the “ Lucaya Market Place”, there you could find many little boutiques, souvenirs. “Port Lucaya Marina” located within the Market. It was 5 min. walk from the Resort. Free Wi-Fi everywhere. The hotel still needs some work to improve the service. The staff at the hotel were friendly but untrained and disorganized.
