Quick question, I know things have changed over time, but I spoke with a friend of mine that stayed there about 5 yrs ago, he liked it but said for his tastes it seemed like the themed night events were too short and as soon as they were done, most of the people left the resort and went out to the bars and partied. I guess my question is, from the experience of the repeat veteran visitors, does this vary from week to week depending on the crowds and people that attend, has it improved over the years, or have they improved on that aspect of the entertainment where people now tend to stay at the resort. I guess what I'm saying is that I want to bring enough money with me so I don't have to try and hit ATM's or banks down there. All in all its vacation, but the guy I know said he was a little disappointed that they ended up having to go out most of the nights to continue partying with crowds instead of staying at the resort where drinks were already paid for! SSSSSOOOOOOOO Excited 1 week from now and we will be checking in Flight arrival in Cancun, 0915am...WWoooooohooo:huepfen021::lotsofmichaelfs:
Last 2 visits ( oct /April) they have not been promoting the off site Bar excursions as much , as a result Patio's has been hopping busy, some nights even getting crowded.
most people stay at resort and party at paty O's. Some singles and younger crowd will leave for the clubs.
We were just there 2/14-22 and didn't leave the resort at night once; it was rockin every night for at least an hour or two after they cut the music (~2AM) Security had no problem this trip with people bringing down speakers to play their own music after the resort music stopped, so the volume was much lower but we kept on dancing. If you want full DJ sound til sunrise then head for the clubs. But if 3-4:00 is plenty late for you then we always had a blast at PatyO's. Or mix it up and head out on a night or two that you're not as into the theme or music at the resort. Oh, one caveat, if you're a single guy looking to hook up and you haven't already found a promising connection during the day, then you'll definitely want to hit the clubs. PatyO's is not fertile ground for single guys. It happens all the time of course, but the average single guy will strike out far more often than not, if hooking up is how he judges the night's success. Have fun! Edited to add: I see from your pic that you don't appear to be a single guy, but I'll leave that part there for others anyway.
If there is a change of pace required, which I don't think there will be for us, especially with the comments so far(but for others as well), Are there any close fun daytime or night time bars that are close enough for walking distance. For example some of the more infamous places like Carlos and Charlies, Senor Frogs, Margaritaville or anything comparable that may be close to the resort. Thanks guys I love this Forum for this type of info!!!!:ernaehrung015:
Take the public bus, its cheap and you can catch it right outside of TTR.. we walked it, its possible but it was further than we thought lol and if you decide to go ask around to see if anyone else wants to go.. lots of people like to break up the day.. you might have some company.
I can tell u by personal experience as single guys on my last trip...we went out almost every night for first 4 nights and it was crazy party lots of good looking people lots of drinking, bar hoping came back to resort almost around 4 or 5 in the morning but then last 3 days we stayed at the resort and I tell u...I didn't have that much fun going outside then I had at the resort. Just say the more I drink the more louder I get, the more lively I get and more people I attract. It all depends as RnJ said what you want and what you like.
We are planning on doing coco bongo this year for sure but hoping there will be something with the resort we can go
We sometimes like to get out of the resorts at least once, and get out and see some sites and party it up, No im not single but the wife and like to get out and act like it at least once a year when we can leave the kiddos behind and act like kids again. But that was in years past when we go to other inclusive resorts that don't have the lively and fun reputation that Temptation has, this is our first go round at Temptation so, it may blow away our expectations,,,,hopefully it does, in years past, hell they don't even have pools that are open at night so we are excited!! It always died off early.
If you pick one night to go, do CocoBongo. It is awesome. Google it and check out their website. The preshow is amazing. Go with the Ent. staff though since it's your first time. They take you down get you set up in a VIP section and you leave when you want. Cab back and make sure you find out how much from the cab before you get in to go anywhere.
