Go to the Gun Store and shoot a bunch of guns! THE GUN STORE | TRY ONE! SHOOT A REAL MACHINE GUN Grab a yard long drink and explore the strip. There's so much to see and do, you'll always end up finding something fun to do along the way. Go to Fremont Street at night. Get cheap drinks and watch the light show. You can also zipline across the canopy for $20. Right by the restaurant in Las Vegas Club, you can play a claw machine (like they have for toys) and try to win a live lobster. If you catch one, they'll cook it for you. I think it's $1 to play too, so not bad if you're good at claw games! lol If you like to shop, there are 2 outlet malls on either end of the strip plus a few malls right on the strip. We went on an ATV tour in the Valley of Fire with Adrenaline Tours and it was amazing! So much fun and the guys who do the tours are hilarious! Sucks up most of your day though. Go see Absinthe: :: ABSINTHE VEGAS :: It's like a raunchy circus. Acrobatics and the crudest kind of adult humour. Seriously awesome! The Penn and Teller show was great too. Get your tickets at Tix 4 Tonight booths that are at almost every other casino. They're much cheaper that way. You can get most shows for that day or the next. Sometimes it's hard to get Cirque tickets though. You can also get discounts for restaurants and other attractions.
Big fan of bare. A lot of the euro pools and regular pools open in late march. The pool party official opening weekend when virtually all open is April 20/21. However some open sooner. When it is the two of us we like an upscale pool party like bare or moorea (instead of the mass meat market like rehab, wet, etc) with a good dj. Hang out in the sun listening to music drinking our red bull vodkas enjoying the sites with a little dancing. Then a nice dinner followed by some gambling and then possibly a lounge bar before some end of night fun in the room. April 19/22 I head to Vegas for a bachelor party then back to the east coast to work for 2 days then to TTR for a week. Going to be a fun April!
If you want to see a great live band check out Phoenix. Excellent musicians playing mostly 70's, 80's & 90's. (Boston, Journey, Bryan Adams, AC/DC, etc, etc) They usually play Mandalay Bay Thurs to Sat. Schedule is at Phoenixrockband.com. As for Cirque shows - Zumanity, Love and Ka are all great. Believe is good too, but the darker side of Cirque. If you plan on buying your tix there try the concierge desk at your hotel (so long as it's part of the MGM group). Your best discounts will be through them (we just saw Love at 40% off, every one else was 20 to 25% off) If you plan on playing either tables or slots at all get a players card first. They will start sending you "free night promotions". We were just there in Jan and stayed 3 nights free at Mirage and the last time we were in Vegas was over two years ago. Hoover Dam is pretty neat and there are a cople nice little restaurants in Boulder City worth checking out too. Bet car rental deals we've found are through carrentals.com. We rented mid-size for $14/day unlimited milage. If you rent for more than a day use valet parking, super convenient. Most importantly, have fun, whatever you do.
We went last May for our 20th and had an epic trip. We saw Zumanity and Absinthe and would highly recommend both. We stayed at Mandalay Bay in a Spa Suite which was awesome! Spent two days at the Euro pool there, great party, tons of fun people, not sure it will be open in March though. For Dinners, two huge recommendations. Mon AMI Gabi at the Paris but absolutely dont miss Hugo's Cellar in the basement of the Four Queens. Its way old school but absolutely amazing. Our last night we stayed at the Golden Nugget in the high end tower. Momma felt sooo spoiled and special. It really was an amazing trip. If the rooms hadn't been much more we would have stayed at the Cosmo. Super hip hotel and right in the middle of everything.
Stay at the Signature at MGM. Great for people who can use balconies in Vegas, just book a top floor suite, this is the view:
I would highly recommend Absinthe too. It was a great show and had everything. That's horrible that Bill's is closed. It was the cheapest place to gamble (low table minimum) and they were quick to bring free drinks when gambling. I'm sure after the remodel they will be like any other strip hotel with high table minimums and expensive drinks.
Thanks for all the advice. Zumanity seems to be a clear front runner. So we will be seeing that one for sure. We are going to venture and get the duo sofa seats up front. I hear that there is a chance you could be part of the show. After what i had to go through with the strippers pulling me on stage at TTR I am sure I can handle this.
