I put the laptop in my suitcase which had a small combo lock approved by the travel authorities. However, I didn't get reception in my room. so I had to go outside or in the lobby to go online. after a few days of this, my old laptop just stopped working. I'm assuming it was because the changes of humidity between the room and outside. never got it working again so it was a good excuse to get a new one.

BTW - I was just checking e-mails so it was much easier and cheaper to pay $5 for the half hour in the lobby. It was faster, too. But I did say my computer was old. My new laptop is much faster with my home connection.
