I believe the thread/post is called Steve's Booze Bay Resort... $1000.00 desn't sound bad. I guess the BIG question is who is REALLY on board. I know there is a shell of a resort down the way from Temptation. Never seen it during the day so i'm not sure of the condition of the property...lol... I'm told there is other properties that might fit the bill for our new resort... I guess this is a subject that would need some serious thought by ALL...
There is a three star about 1/4 mile west. Their asking $23,000,000.00 for sale. It has 194 rooms. Another one for $24,000,000.00 just east is a five star but only 84 rooms. (to small). Would have to negotiate a lease for either one. Both are in full operation and doing well. I'm sure there are more available. There is a group of 3 resorts with another under construction available as a package for $385,000,000.00. They are in Cancun and Riveria Maya. I wonder if this is the Temptation group. Hola, thats interesting, maybe it is not just a rumer. But there are 3 resorts in the Cancun area and two underconstucion. Bluebay club, Temptations, Desire, and underconstucion is Unik and the Condos. Can you find out what resorts group it is? Terry

Hola, Heard from somebody at the resort, said its not them, said it was not worth half that amount , but I would still like to know who it is. Might be a good investment with enough backers depending on property and details. Terry
I'm not so sure. I agree 385 million is three or four times what the resorts are worth. But I don't know what the unfinished one is like and I also don't know what property is included with it. Could be the whole area north of town where they're putting in condos and a marina. 385 could also be a beginning bargaining point. I'll see if the broker will talk to me on Monday. I also don't think anyone in corporate would let the employees in the resorts know what is happening. I know I wouldn't. You just never know. Even at one third of that amount we could never raise enough cash for even a twenty percent down payment. I'm going to start putting numbers together for a management contract with a resort property owner. That is something we could afford as a group. Not OK~ This is not ok! We are returning back in May with our new friends and I am pissed! They were the majority of the reason that we wanted to return! Not to mention that a co-worker is also going based on the stories that we came back with! So...How do we work to get to come back or are we facing a hopeless cause? Help!
Re: Not OK~ Don't count on Chinos being gone forever. Annette and I are going to give the ent crew a chance, and I expect that they will be fine. Mario is a common thread that has been at BBG/TTR for a long time, and I doubt if he wants the level of entertainment to fall off to the level of other resorts in the area.
