Travel Hair dryer - yes there is one in the room but damn it if doesn't take 2-3X as long as mine.

After sun lotion - important to keep the skin moist after a day in the sun & pool

Sunhats - nothing worse than a burnt face

Pool-side bag - tote bag we take to the pool daily with book, camera, gum, chap stick, sunscreen lotion, $ for tips........

Yeah, we do have this awesome system from MEC that we used for the month we spent in Mexico, they both fit as carry on at the time and the two little packs zipped to the big bags so it was one big backpack. It has wheels, too, for the airport. My first order should arrive Thursday so we will start packing and check websites for dimensions. It's anyone's guess at the moment!

Since we arrive at 6pm I don't have to worry about a hat or sunscreen in my carry-on but bikini for me and shorts for Kev plus the tumbler... Check. Meds for the trip? Check. All the information and confirmation sheets? Check and check.

Pick up a baby Bubba Mug at Canadian Tire. They look like chubby beer steins in coloured plastic and stainless steel. It's a symbol of Canadian pride :) It's amazing how long it will keep your drink cold.

But whatever you buy, make sure it has a lid to keep your drink IN and the Sexy Pool OUT.

I'm warped and twisted...but I LOVE packing and actually enjoy the challenge of fitting a week in a carry on (I need help. Or a hobby....)

Made it 5 days last year and had several unworn outfits! I choose skimpy clothes, roll them, and put them in one of those zip lock vacuum bags, squeeze the air out...and voila! Room for souvenirs! And, I carry a gigantic "purse" which is really another carry-on.

Anyway, packing for TTR is way more fun than packing for any other trip. This year, if I get the red light, security is going to be digging through stripper boots, 2-3 pairs of 5" platforms, schoolgirl outfit, several lingerie night options, and maybe even a feathered corset if Mardi Gras night is a go....

Why on earth would you do carry-on only? I don't get that. You have to wait for the transfer in any event, and customs, and immigration...

Is it for fear of losing stuff?

Geez, for a week at TTR, Stacia usually packs TWO suitcases, with one for her shoes and sex toys.

Note: She can pack ALL of her bikinis (bottoms only as there aren't tops) in my 20 oz. Bubba Keg mug, with room to spare, and she never wears the same one twice on a trip. Damn flimsy little things. Gotta love her...

We go for 14 days so we usually have one smaller suitcase for bathing suits (his and mine) and shoes. A garment bag for things we don't want to get wrinkled and a large suitcase for everything else. We fly charter so not having to worry about the weight makes packing just that much easier.

I lost a bag once in Jamaica, had a carry-on left out by a shuttle driver once, and we had a bag almost not make it onto a cruise one time! Since I think I might be cursed, I'm like some kind of sheepdog watching over my bags! I could put 24-48 hours in the carry-on and the rest would catch up...but it's just one less thing to worry about.

Plus, it saves money if you aren't flying nonstop, and it saves time on the return end of the trip...
