I love this thread. Thank you for addressing this issue. My brain is telling me to go topless and even wear the itty bitty bottoms I have purchased and paked. My nerves are saying that I am crazy and that the body I am working so hard to tone is still not even bikini ready. Ihave had 4 kids and recently lost 55lbs so while I feel great and think I look so much better i am scared that I look too flabby. I assure you that just a little beneith the surface i have a hard kick ass body and mayby that is why my brain is saying go for it. I think once i feel comfortable with you all. I will join in just about any debauchery. I think I might actually be more worried about Kev missing out on body shots because he doesnt drink. No worries though I will drink plenty for the both of us.
I have also had 4 kids and in the last 3 years have lost about 40 lbs. I've been working hard to tone it up, too, but at my age its taking forever!!! I wear the teeny tiny bottoms and go topless morst of the time when at TTR. Our first trip it took about an hour for the top to come off and about 12 hours for the thong to come out...lol...You will find the people at TTR very accepting of all body shapes and sizes. I've found there is always someone that looks better and someone that looks worse, too, lol, so if you feel like it and are comfortable with it, go for it! Your husband will love it!
Ladies don't overthink it...last year was our first trip and I didn't think I'd be able to go topless either. But the atmosphere is so fun and comfortable that it didn't take long..I hardly ever wore a top at the pool!
The folk at TTR are very nonjudgemental... What I love about the resort is for the most part everyone is just out to have fun... My fiancee feels the same way that you do about being topless. I say you never know whats going to happen when it comes to going topless until you get there.:cheerleaders: Remember the TTR motto.. artyhorn:You Are On Vacation..Nobody Knows You...Nobody Gives a Shit
Fun is an attitude and no one is going to make any kind is assumptions about you based on whether your top is on or off! Our first trip I left mine on probably 70% of the time and never felt weird about it. The atmosphere at TTR (and the drinks) are going to melt away any body insecurities you may have. Like everyone else has mentioned, you will see all shapes and sizes around the pool and no one will care if you're a size 2 or a size 22. We're all just there to have a good time! Off to google inflatable beer pong tables... -Tia
there is a reason that TTR is called topless optional..I always start in my top.. sometime I take it off.. after a few drinks.. and sometimes I dont.. sometimes I take it off while I am sitting in my chair.. sometimes I forget I dont have it on as i am walking to the washroom... lol there are no rules for it .. its whatever you are comfortable with.. dont even worry about having it on or off.. noone will judge you for having it on or off.. thats the TTR way..
I've been topless plenty of times before, but I love my Victoria's Secret tops and how pretty I feel in them!
This is going to sound strange coming from a guy, but I get a little reserved ...sometimes even self conscience at times. I can only imaging what it would be like for a woman with boobs ... It's normal though to feel that way because in 99.9% of society it's unacceptable.... I think most of the time it's an actual expression of freedom from a woman's standpoint rather than "I have boobs and are going to show them off". Only my opinion .....
Should I keep my top on? I also can feel a bit reserved... I am so white that dead people look healthy next to me... Everyone has something they are self conscious about.
