I don't think we were in a position to do that. We were on a referral from a member. We were able to book at a normal, maybe reduced rate, and get the Premier benefits. The catch was that we'd have to sit through the presentation. I believe if we had walked out, we'd lose something, maybe the benefits, maybe the discount and the member we booked through would not get her credit. I didn't want to screw anyone over so we suffered through the ordeal.
This is going to sound sort of weird, as it was necessary and lots of people Were calling for it... but the Renovation of Temptation is the worse thing that's happened to it. From the travel customer's perspective. I'm sure that Original Resorts' Management is well pleased with their marketing decisions and targeting change. Ah well, the Caribbean is full of fun places to go and the Desires are still there (food quality and alcohol shortage issues there too this year, so it seems there is some truth to that. Complaints about it are too prevalent.)
My husband and I still reminisce about the old TTR: the place with the fun pools, the sexy pool with a NORMAL WATER LEVEL (I'm 5'1; I don't appreciate having to be on tippy toes the entire time in the pool), the amazing Paty'Os with the bartenders jumping on the counters during YMCA, the more sexy and raunchy shenanigans at the pool and in Nice Shoes, the guests from around the world who were all so nice and friendly (not like the grumpy ones we've encountered on more recent trips) and for me especially, the lower price point. We used to be able to visit for around $200/night. Now, pffttt... the prices often rival Desire's. I still think Temptation is a super fun and sexy place and hardly anywhere else can compare.
Agree with all the above and it was livelier in mid week. Last time it was pretty quiet until a group from Kentucky joined us to liven it up.... sadly we now look at further afield or are considering an alternative Cancun hotel but liven it up with one or two Boobs Cruise which reflects how TTR was........ just our 5 cents worth...
