Put them right on top and if you get the red light and they open the bag, they will be looking at you funny but just tell them you are going to Temptations. They will politely close the bag and say your ok!!! The resort speaks for itself in Cancun!! It has happened to us a couple of times and they always just smile, nod and past you through the line with no problem. Just one note!!! Take out the batteries before you check the bags!!!!
I'm sure they will be more jealous of the fun you are going to have while they are stuck at work rummaging through other people's bags!
We had toys with us on our trip in january no one questioned them or pulled them out of our bags,, they did however take away a bottle of face wash that was apparently a little to big, (.Y.)

I always carry my toys in a clear bag in the suitcase, then they can see what it is. Always put it in top, that way if you get a newbie worker they usually stop searching. Always good for a good chuclle. Always carry the batteries outside the device.
last year we were at the airport in Jamaica, put bags on scale and lady at the counter smiled and said "your bag is vibrating" omg....so I said it must be my electric razor.........
