How are the JUNE JUNKIES doing???? It doesn't seem like it has only been three months since we were in Cancun. We have nine more months until June rolls around again!!! Last June, there was a lot of stomach sickness at the resort, and all over Mexico. Come to find out, it was also in the USA as well. I haven't heard of any other issues recently with the cyclospora virus. The flood in early June didn't help with the party atmosphere either. BUT, what are the odds that these two things will happen again??? I have been to Mexico in June for the last 6 years, and nothing like June 2013 has ever happened. Soooooooo looking forward to 2014. In January, I will open threads to start working on the JUNE JUNKIES 2014 day and evening themes. Everyone start thinking of your favorites over the last few years. Also, I propose that we continue to support the Temptations sponsored themes - lingerie night, white night, and red night; however, you know the June Junkies are good about putting our own spin on things!!! I hope everyone is doing well, and I hope all the June Junkies that were not able to make it in 2013 are able to book for 2014 for an EPIC PARTY!! Dawn
Hey Dawn! Me and my Wife came for the first time in June for our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed it! So much so, within 3 months of geting home, we re-booked & are brining 3 friends along! May 29th - 12th June 2014! We sure cannot wait! We were affected by the sickness to. Just happy to hear it was the first time it'd happen and that it wasn't just Temptation. Did they confirm it was that virus u mentioned above? As there was a lot of speculation as to what it actually was. Never the less, we're counting down the hours until we head back! Jeez... What a great place, with such an amazing atmosphere! We made some real friends we can't wait to see again for sure! My Wife can't wait for u to open the June Junkies 2014 thread in January! She really wants to start shopping for the theme nights, and secretly.. So do i! x
We made our first trip in June, and had a great time despite the sickness. Subsequent research indicates that nasty bug was widespread, not just at TTR. It even made its way into the U.S. via imported lettuce. We realize it wasn't typical of the resort. We met great people too! And have a lot of new friends from TTR. Looking to go back next June but we don't have dates yet. It will depend on having relatives to watch our kids. We also might look at other ways too book the trip that might be cheaper than AAA travel. I hear Alpharooms is a good way to go. Always looking for cheaper, economical travel tips. Also looking forward to the Theme Nights page!
This will be our first year at Temptation! We stayed at Golden Parnassus last July but one time on the Boobs Cruise has got us excited to stay at Temptation next June :lotsofmichaelfs:We haven't booked yet but the only week we will be able to go is June 14th through June 21st. I have been pricing trips daily on Expedia and some of the other websites. As soon as it goes to a reasonable price, I will definately book! Last year we found a good deal on Black Friday through Expedia.
We've narrowed our dates down to June 7-14 or 8-15. A decision will come later this week and a booking shortly thereafter.
So much for that. WE'VE BOOKED! Thanks to Bobby & Amy, we'll be there June 8-16! Tabi has already been perusing the Malibu Strings website...
