For those that are unsure what a 'Room Crawl' is, here is a basic definition: A smaller scale version of a bar crawl, in which people move through a building consuming one drink in each room. In a well organized room crawl, each room will have a theme, with appropriate decorations, music and choice of drinks. The 'room sponsor' is asked to supply a shot of their choice to each visitor. The goal is to have sponsors from a variety of unique rooms so that people could see the different ones available at the resort. We did it on lingerie Night because you can accomplish most of the Crawl while the fashion show and the lingerie Casino take place and not miss much of the action at Paty'Os. Plus it's also quite entertaining to run around the resort in the dark while wearing your undies! Last year we met outside the door of the Embarcadero near Paty'Os around 8:45 in an attempt to head out by 9pm. This seemed to work very well. We were back in Paty'Os by about 10:45. We had our room order all laid out in advance and sent the room sponsors out early in order to get prepared for visitors. Try to limit times in each room to around 15-20 minutes, but if you're having fun why limit yourself?! We kept our room number limited to 5 due to time and (of course) the quantity of shots consumed! As far as coming up with a theme, it just helps make each room unique and adds to the festive atmosphere. The most important thing is to have music and some sort of party decorations. Nothing too extravagant is necessary. We did a 'bathroom selfie' in one of the rooms! Instead we were thinking that it would workout better doing it in the CO-ED area of the bathroom outside of Paty'Os near the Lobby. We would do that midway through the crawl. There are about 30 ounces in a liter, so if you are doing a 2 ounce mixed shot that would take care of 15 people. In October we only had about 18 people, but June could reach epic numbers! Good thing alcohol is cheaper in Mexico AND there is a liquor store right across the street! LOL The Crawl was a great ice-breaker and conversation starter. There were people that saw us running around the resort say "What the hell are you all up to??" When we told them many asked if they could join in! One final thought is that we found it really cool to see the different types of rooms that are available throughout the resort! They all may be red and white, but there are some unique benefits to be seen in some! Party on! -Joe-
We reserved a jacuzzi room and are pretty sure those rooms are only located around the quiet pool. Do any of our awesome june junkie friends know if that is correct?
