    That is what I have done at other places. It's not like the resort will take away you room key or food and drink wrist band if you refuse to listen to the timeshare pitch.

    On the other hand, I had some fun at another place and made a deal with the timeshare people. I said my wife (at the time) and I would go to the pitch IF I got 5 t-shirts, 2 beach towels, 1 plastic mayan calendar and 1 fifth of Quervo. I was shocked when all that stuff was handed to me, but we did to to the pitch. Be careful for what you ask for.
