Tulum for the day The Yacht does sound like some kinda FUN! Where does it go? Isla? Now that is a pretty island. James and I try to make a day trip there every time we go to Cancun. We also found a new place about an hour or so south of Cancun....Tulum. Very pretty white sand beaches not a lot of people and all nude if you wish. We plan on driving down there one day during our stay....anyone else want to go? TISH
Yes we'll rent a car for a couple of days and drive to Playa and Tulum. Theres a really cool resort in Tulum called Copal and it's clothing optional. It's very small and only has beach cabanas for rent. Very Mexican rustic. Nice to spend the day there but its lacking the 4 star amenities of TTR. TISH
Aww we're gonna miss all the fun we leave b4 yall get there Boo. We were going to stay till the 4th but hubby has to be back at work bummer. Nudie beach sounded like fun,lol O-well guess I'll come home with tan lines.
Y'all are brave for renting a car. The last time we were in a private car in Cancun, it was late and we were leaving the clubs. It was driven by a friend of a friend. I think that we packed about six people in a four seater car and he drove like it was a grand prix race. I just wanted to make it back in one piece. Kinda ruined me on Cancun driving. Marsh
Tulum beach We've been traveling to that part of Mexico since the mid 70's. Grandparents had a house there for 30 years. Driving the area is no problem for us and it's very safe. We like to drive down the coast and explore new fishing villages, hang out one or 2 nights at a small, off the beaten path B&B or find a new beach to walk. Tulum beaches are about the best in the area. Very pretty white sand and clear blue water. We don't have a date set right now but we're open to what ever. Cabanas Copal is a clothing optional beach resort that is fun to make a day trip out of.
Re: Tulum beach That sounds like alot of fun. We would be interested in going. I'm trying to book the yacht for the 8th, and other than that, we have no plans until we leave on the 13th. Let us know...that sounds like a fun day trip.
Re: Tulum for the day Last year, the yacht would go anywhere around Cancun you wanted. It's a 4 hour trip and the cost then was $300. I thought it was only for 10 ppl; however, Howard told me the other night he thought you could take as many as you wanted. So far, we have 9 ppl interested in going and that is including you guys. Once we arrive on the 5th, I'll check on the availability and rates, etc. Teresa & Howard
