Continuation and conclusion of Friday We took some pics on the deck outside the new premier sales area after our presentation. We were lucky to have the one outside table so we could enjoy the day. This is the lounge that is above sea flirt. Nice area but seems for now mostly sales focused. Sure Premier can wander up and hang out if wanted and use the premier bar in the sales area. 63AC15A8-2B39-408A-BAC5-52EDDA60D5F1 by Jen&Kyle posted Nov 30, 2017 at 8:55 AM 6356DE51-3D69-4388-9659-18A967E86BE3 by Jen&Kyle posted Nov 30, 2017 at 8:55 AM 785616FA-39E2-4D26-9529-CABE38922445 by Jen&Kyle posted Nov 30, 2017 at 8:55 AM Back to the sexy pool. Today was the belly flop contest. Which is always a good laugh. Just like the old days. They have definitely made the launching pad higher off the ground. Improves the show. Fun to hang at the pool bar and meet people while watching the contest. There was a really fun partial takeover group there when we were called CTT. I think a lot of people assume when a group is there it is cliquey but the key is just making an effort to say hello. They welcomed us with open arms and were friendly and just amped up the party. Don’t assume because a group is there that they only want to hang with their group. They had their own theme nights which made there 3 themes ccc, CTT and resort but who really gives a damn. People looked sexy and had fun with it. Too often I think people stress about the themes. Don’t worry about it. Just go with what makes you happy and own it. The beauty about TTR is it really doesn’t matter as long as you are letting loose and having fun. A common theme / question on here is people new to this type of place uncomfortable about how to meet people, how to go about it. So we are extroverts but were not always that way when it came to places like this. A good way to start is hang by the pool bar. Either in it or between the pool bar and the premier bar thatched hut. A great time to do this is between 3:30ish and 6ish. People tend to let loose during this time. They congregate in this area. You get invited into groups for shots. Or simply get a round of shots and ask others to join you. If you are not a big drinker then simply sit on one of the bar stools and introduce yourself as people order drinks, dance, socialize in that area. I know it is easier said then done going to a place like this your first time and stepping outside your comfort zone but simply going to the bar and hanging out around this time in this area is a good way to start. Simple conversation about the resort, outfits, regular life breaks the ice. Today was a Boobs Cruise day. We love the Boobs Cruise and highly recommend it to others. Since we have been 5 or so times and were only at TTR for 3 nights we skipped this one. We did go out to meet the boat on the new dock covering that black sand barrier thing and were able to hop on the boat for 10-15 mins. Was fun getting to party w chinos and Omar and Steve for a little bit. Boobs Cruise is another great way to meet people. Don’t be shy. Give it a try. The main fear I think newbies have is will they be forced to do anything sexually they don’t want to. The answer is no. You have complete control and can be a wallflower or participate at your speed. Maybe with the exception of losing your top. Be mentally prepared to not wear it You will be surprised how it just isn’t a big deal when everyone is doing it. Breaks down all sorts of barriers. After I got my first double ____ on the cruise. Family site ha so I digress. So we had a great time Friday meeting new people, running into old friends, and simply partying. Magical things happen when you just have fun and let other things happen naturally. Don’t plan anything, just have fun and enjoy what TTR has to offer. We partied pretty hard at the pool bar, did the room fun thing, showered up, a 5 hour energy and off to dinner around 8ish. We had heard people raving about the Asian restaurant and jen prefers sushi over hibachi so we went for a regular table which does not require reservations. Met friends at the lobby bar and I went to put our name in for a table. Definitely a list waiting for tables. Yet some open tables. Not sure what the logic is since they can’t be holding them for reservations as there are no reservations. I used to do this all the time at Italian which typically was a pain to get into at prime times at the old ttr and it seems to work at the new ttr also. $10 to the host and one of those tables magically became available. 209AA4AF-7447-489C-910F-7CF4E9B2DB83 by Jen&Kyle posted Nov 30, 2017 at 8:55 AM 09B8E78C-7701-49CB-B406-5A10440B1649 by Jen&Kyle posted Nov 30, 2017 at 8:55 AM 15558B93-24A9-40AA-BFA7-B0061D948AEA by Jen&Kyle posted Nov 30, 2017 at 8:55 AM Jen did not like the old ttr Asian restaurant. She is part Asian and can be picky. But the issue was we thought everything was too bland. Maybe they were trying to appeal to a broader audience. The new ttr Asian did not disappoint. The table enjoyed soups and sushi. I ended up getting two entrees as I wasn’t feeling sushi. A duck entree and a sea bass entree. The duck was amazing. The sea bass was way over cooked and tough or simply was not sea bass. Disappointing but since I had the duck it wasn’t a big deal. Oh they give you an appetizer sampler too for the table that was awesome. Don’t be shy, ask for a second one if you want. They really aim to please. Several reports complained about how loud it was in the Asian. I would agree it is loud as they had edm type music on in the background and the sound tends to carry. But I think this is why some reports are so positive and others are disappointed in the changes. We could still have a conversation but I didn’t have that feeling u sometimes get after a day of partying while at dinner where you start to think ‘holy shit what am I doing to myself, I am not going to make it, need to get to bed, how can I stay awake’. Happened to me plenty of times during those long mellow dinners at Asian or Italian at the old ttr. But the edm music and fun social atmosphere (lots of people coming up and saying hi, socializing) had me feeling like the party wasn’t stopping. Different strokes for different folks I guess. We enjoyed the background music, noise, social atmosphere. Note the next night we did hibachi and there was no music. Can’t figure out why but hope it wasn’t because someone complained ha Dinner went a little long so by the time we were done the show was happening in Bash and we just joined the party. It was white night and the outfits were great. We brought tiny toga outfits but we were consumed by the party and never made it back to the room to change. Dj was much better than Thursday night. Jen made some requests and he played them. Her requests are in that modern clubby /hip hop genre so that may of had something to do with it. But the music never shifted to the Latin hour that tends to clear the dance floor so that was nice. Worth attempting a song request if you don’t like the music. Remember $ talks. The local single guys from the night before gathering were gone and it was a fun sexy time on the dance floor. Since it was the night after a boobs cruise some of the partiers called it early. Music went from live dj to a playlist about 2. And gets turned down a little so that almost serves as a signal to some to stop the party. But not this night as we made it to 3 something with some fun hardcore partiers. Good time. Playlist music got turned off around 3. Jen got a burger. Me a hot dog and fries. I don’t really like their burgers. Never have. Although the new ttr burgers are much meatier than the old ttr burgers which people for some reason I never understood raved about. Checked out the jacuzzi. Looked like some people were having fun in there ha. We wanted to do our own thing tonight so passed and back to the room. Note there was a lot of topless in Bash and security was no where to be seen. Definitely more freedom than old ttr party O’s this night. But from reading other trip reports I guess this isn’t consistent. I think the key may be doing what you want on the dance floor area is ok. But if you flaunt something right in front of security then they nicely ask you to stop or put more clothes on. 5859DC97-FB15-49C0-89B3-DC2F593BB8B8 by Jen&Kyle posted Nov 30, 2017 at 8:55 AM
Almost forgot. While we were up on the roof of the premier presentation deck I got some good pics of the Temptation suite jacuzzi. Note that only 2 of the 12 actually have one of these outside. Looks slightly bigger then the plush jacuzzis but round instead of rectangle. Neither as big as the master jacuzzi Temptation suite... Saturday November 4th Last day of our long weekend trip to TTR. Definitely the best day. Highly recommend including a Saturday in your stay. Always lots of energy at the pool and Bash is the best on a Saturday night (for our tastes). Explained why below. We wanted to do the sit down menu Sea flirt breakfast one morning and this was going to be the morning in the plans but we really enjoy the social aspect of breakfast at the buffet. Bump into people you partied with last night. Laugh about the fun. Make plans for the day, etc. So back we were to the buffet. Saw some complaints on other reports on the buffet. They still have the most popular stuff for breakfast and will make whatever you want. They even have more fresh fruit juice options than the old TTR. Also note there are two sides where different food is located at each. Fresh grills for omelets, pancakes and Mexican breakfast items which jen gets and I still don’t know what it is called. Anyway due to our late night we tried to get chairs close to 10 and the only ones left were back row on the side close to the buffet. Would not recommend this area as 1) it is right next to the speaker and 2) shade gets there mid afternoon due to the sun being to your back and blocked by the building. I stopped drinking artificially sweetened drinks primarily. Used to only drink diet wild cherry pepsi. Was nice to see they have fresh brewed unsweetened iced tea which I liked to drink in the morning before getting back on the horse and when they ran out by the premier pool bar the bartender actually ran inside and made more. Took a little bit but above and beyond. I needed the tea to get me going so it was much appreciated. Maybe regulars know his name as I think I have it wrong Toro or jen thinks maybe Tone? Whatever, he was great. Our butler even stopped by and offered us a reservation at 8 that night at the hibachi due to a cancellation. Awesome. Lots of reports about MIA butlers but that wasn’t our experience with Alejandro. I did tip him when he took us to our room as he took extra time to show us how to use the bose speaker (note a nice perk w a master) and the tv ordering room service option (something I couldn’t figure out the first trip) and how to use those stupid blinds (another thing I struggled with the first trip) so I tipped him $40. He was great this trip checking in, making reservations, asking what we needed. What you would expect from a butler. Around lunch time two great things this Saturday. Not sure if this is every Saturday? Others can chime in. They put a kayak in the pool with a foam base in it and sticks of fresh fruit sticking out and walked it around in the pool. Maybe this was mid afternoon. Kind of a blur. Regardless it was an awesome snack. Nice addition. Also they had an outside grill on the opposite end of the quiet pool. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, ribs, Mac n cheese, French fries, etc Wish they grilled chorizo and fresh fish like Desire but they have a lot more people to feed at TTR so guess that isn’t feasible? We like a late lunch so I noticed they kept it open until about 2:30. Nice to be able to stay outside and enjoy the nice day and entertainment. Entertainment was the beer chugging contest. Always fun to watch. If you enter whatever you do don’t spill! Otherwise you end up redoing the contest over and over. It adds up Jen entered. They called her match a tie. Then made her go again. She can chug but I don’t want her to chug as it can tend to effect late night possibilities But it was my birthday at midnight so I was promised to not worry and she would party as long as I could Party was going hard on Saturday. It definitely is a younger (age is just a mindset) outgoing party hard crowd. Yes it is different than the old ttr but in our opinion it is a good different. Definitely more lifestyle this trip. Maybe because of the partial takeover? We didn’t find the size of the pool made it any more difficult to meet people. At 3pm a band came on. It was kind of funny. The party hard edm crowd was pissed. Switching to a band was like pouring cold water on their fire. But the old school ttr fans clearly loved it. We like variety so we were almost fine with the change. So another example of different strokes for different folks. You can’t please everyone. Glad that they mix it up a little though. Oh my after the band finished. 4 something? It is like the party crowds Fire was lit again when the dj started back up and the area between the premier bar and end of the sexy pool bar was the place to be. Body shots, girl girl love, massages with an electric car buffer. I kid you not. I am buying one of these and taking it to the next party I go to. The ladies loved that thing. Lots of fun. You get the routine by now. To the room for some fun. Shower. Lobby bar and now to the Asian for our hibachi reservation. Tim & Michelle joined us for dinner. Surprisingly, despite not being big hibachi fans, we enjoyed it a lot. Food was fresh. Even brought us the appetizers we enjoyed so much at a regular table. We had lobster added which we were told normally costs $40 usd each (not sure if this is premier only? We were on a premier referral if you recall) but they gave us the special price of 2 for $20! And it was amazing! I really think the staff very much appreciates you taking care of them. And if you take care of them they take care of you. We saw many many people not tipping this trip. They deserve the tips and work hard to keep you happy. They definitely notice and remember each tip. I know it shouldn’t be this way but I also noticed the bartenders taking their time to get to people who were not tipping and passing them over. Just how it seems to work. Don’t recall much of that at the old ttr but some of the newer staff seem to behave that way. Ok I came up with a couple captions for this picture and couldn’t decide what to go with, suggestions welcome... A) Panty Police!!! B) Your right. That is hilarious. C) I see why we liked hibachi so much this time D) look a bird! Look a bird! by Jen&Kyle posted Dec 1, 2017 at 12:58 PM Tonight was neon / white / rave tonight.
