Oh and yes the issues are a little much. I mentioned our drain and we still have no hot water and we are actually fortunate. Most of the rest of the building has no running water including everything around Bash. The restrooms stink. And most people have no water and no AC. The gm came on tonight and apologized and promised something special tomorrow for all the first night people and that they hoped to have these issues fixed tomorrow. But yeah there is a ton of work to still do. Our take though is we are still very happy to be here and are having an amazing time!
Oh and She was amazing. A must do. My favorite meal in all my visits to TTR ever. No issues there. Took pics of menu and every course. For later.
Thanks for the updates, all of us sat here watching from our laptops are VERY appreciative. Everyone who booked for the opening day/week took a leap of faith that the hotel would deliver, and I think (asides from the systems failings) they've done a really good job. So glad for you all that it's open at least. I was one of those people who thought there was no way they'd be in a position to take guests in August, particularly after the update you provided in June, yet they've managed it somehow. Watching Steve's video of the room tour, I wonder if you were offered an upgrade because they're still fitting out the Lush oceanfront rooms - I think they're the ones within the tower structure that directly face the ocean (with Bash tower rooms either side and the oceanfront master suites at the ends of Bash tower), and on that video there were guys clearly still working on those rooms.
it appears that the quiet pool is the new late night pool or at least was for us and a few others last night security came by several times but said nothing and he keep walking
So it sounds like the old 1000 or new Relax area rooms might just be the rooms to get if you don't want to spend the extra $$$ for the new tower rooms, easy to stumble back to the room after the late night pool party. T
