January Polar Bares - Breathless Punta Cana Jan/17?

We will be there January 21-26.

 

A few days here now...

Been here a few days now. Resort is beautiful...but lots of negatives. Music at pool is elevator music until 3pm...we asked several staff if we could get better music but no luck...they set the music on auto play and walk away...no odj even is there. There have been guests with speakers that set up by hottub to make it better.


Hot tub is big and warm...one plus. Pool is very cold however.

One event per day at 3pm. Good participation...but not even close to the events at TTR that go on all day.

Snack shack during the day is good...but not great. Restaurants at night have ranged from good to horrible. We have not been to all of them, but all furniture has been lawn chairs n tables so far. Food has been good to poor. Two of us ordered tuna steak...one was thick n raw...other was thin and almost jerky. The Strip had good wine and descent steak...but nothing great. We are pretty easy going regarding food, but we have struggled to decide where to eat each night because of it not being that good.

We have danced til late at night...dance floor is active...but the "night club" is small and music has been ok...nothing write home about.

Drinks have been ok. Shots have been of low quality. Service from waiters n bartenders has been good.

Theme nights non existent except for a dozen TTR people or so.

Pretty sure we wouldn't come back here again. We have made it as fun as we can and have had a good time. Pretty sure the TTR groups get everyone going and bring the party. Beautiful resort and could be so easy for them to make it better...but pretty sure it's not going. I think you will see a lot more negative reviews.
