Don't know about anybody else, but since we've got a hot tub at home off the back porch, but we do NOT have a humongous double-rainfall shower which a group of 8, or maybe 12 very friendly, people could get in for a sudsing, we sort of prefer the rooms over in the 5000 building, particularly 5111. Jacuzzi are very nice if you don't always have one, so if you don't, it's very cool and neat-O!
I greatly prefer one for several reasons. If there is ANY worry about weather then they are great, our last trip we had a day with a total monsoon rainstorm and we were able to hop in the jacuzzi and drink champagne, it was heavenly. I for one could give a rats ass about who can see in, we actually had to raise our curtain since the wind was so damn strong it was literally a concern than it might blow off the supports. Here is a list (YMMV) of reasons one would want or not want a jacuzzi room... PRO you like a room by the quiet pool (all jacuzzi rooms currently are) You like to take downtime between day and night drinking YOu actually, you know, like jacuzzi's Kills time during rain Great at night when it gets cool Balcony show!! if you swing, easy way to get people to room?? (no experience here) Cons You want a room right by the action You do not take a nap and instead party all day/night Summer and its hot all day/night more expensive It all comes down to how much *you* would use it, but we only book rooms that have one.
i had a room over the active pool on 2 trips (member) on the top floor had a great view loved it deff worth it if you love a ocean view at sunset. on the last trip we had a jacuzzie room #1110? great location can still see the ocean,no stairs, right next too the quite pool only proplem is the jacuzzi took for ever to fill, they deff need to replace them with newer ones.
I think some are inside, but I can tell you from experience that if you don't mind people seeing a little (you're at TTR after all), the pull-down shade with the lights off is more than enough. And you'd think that when it's hot a jacuzzi tub isn't fun. NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND! (Best Lee Corso voice) We sat many a night with a cocktail, fresh cheese burger, and a cold bath to cool down in after Patty-O's. We used it almost every night... in July.
Is that why we make so many friends? Well, this will be our first year in many without one so we probably won't make any friends.
