we have a jacuzzi room booked for our trip in february. And to be honest we only really booked it to assure ourselves a room in the quiet pool area. Its our first big trip anywhere and we didnt want to risk getting a room that was too noisy or really far from everything. That being said, we are hoping to get to see other rooms in other areas when we go so that we will know for the next trip. For all we know the noise in the rooms around paty'os wont bug us and we will feel that no room is too far away. Just didnt want to take any risks for our first time
Temptation January: no mosquitoes Temptation November: no mosquitoes Temptation July : bitten everywhere! Remember vividly going to the ladies near the TexMex (kinda semi-outside, no air con), assuming the position, and the little B*****ds attacked me in droves! Me and the girly in the cubicle next door were squealing like babies, hard to run with your ankles restricted! Ouch! :icon_frown:
We had a jacuzzi room by the quiet pool last May and gave it up for a room without a jacuzzi near Paty-o's...it really depends on what you like. Our room last year had our balcony overlooking the sexy pool and the entrance going right in to Paty-o's which was perfect in our opinion! Some like it more quiet and would probably hate our favorite location!
When Stacia and I are done with the day's partying, we are just that, D.O.N.E. As in, "Do Not Disturb" us, sort of finished, so rooms by the quiet pool, when they aren't having an event out there, are great.
I think people fall into two categories: those who attract mosquitoes and those who don't! Last January I was eaten alive and struggling with bites all week. In November I got a total of two bites, and I don't even think they were from mosquitoes rather creepy crawlies in the grass, so I guess it depends on the weather and time of year.
I get bitten by anything and everything, bugs love me and it sucks! The only problem I had at TTR was with sand bugs biting my ankles at night, and I still have the scars from those bites! That was Oct and Jan, in April I brought some powerful bug repellant from a camping equipment store and it was much better. I promise if there were Mosquitos there in Oct, Jan or Apr, I would have been bitten everywhere, not just on my lower legs, that is why I am sure they were sand fleas or something like that.
We have been to TTR 5 times. Year 3 we got the jacuzzi room. Best year ever!! You can fit quite a few in that two person tub. We love the location, as well. Two years we were close to Paty 'O's and it sucked.
We went in february last year and going in January this year. We loed the hot tub and are doing it again this year. I do admit that the winter time is probably better but not unusual for me to get up and relax in there early mornings also. Yes there is a screen you can pull down and it helps if you are doing something. By passers have to look real hard to see by it. It also depends on which unit you get. In our case we probably had the most private unit as it was located on the end behind the resturant. Also.....it does guarentee you a room near the quiet pool.
We had a jacuzzi room in November and really enjoyed it. It was behind the restaurant and was the 2nd or 3rd room from the end near the beach (quiet pool). Being able to go back to the room after the sexy pool was cooling off in the afternoon and have a drink and a good time in the warm tub was a great way to spend some time before dinner. The wife loved it and definitely didn't seem to mind if anyone walking by got a peek of our party. No complaints here !!
