with so little of their flights (2%) going to ALL of mexico. thinking they are using the flu as an excuse to cut non profitable flights that were slow anyway because of the economy. think about it..... if no flu then they would have to fly low occupancy planes in and out of cancun during the slow season and lose $$. now they have an excuse to cut the routes without all the bad press from people that had them booked. just my opinion
Had to change our plans since work would have made me take 2 weeks of vacation time when i got back/ Heading to Jamiaca. See everyone next year
I think you may have hit the nail on the head, Frank!!! Not to happy with United right now, and we still haven't heard from Orbitz yet either. I don't know what they'll do if anything but I think the right thing would be to book us on another airline. We are going to try to contact them and find out! George
George, Just fly out here and you can go with us. Means you will have to change your dates but there are still a couple of seats left on our flight.
Wish it was that simple. We're still tied up with Orbitz. Once we find out what's going to happen, I'm sure we could still get flights on Frontier. Just not sure I can afford to book separately. George
Actually I'm sort of waiting till United cancels my flights. Then I'll get back the 70,000 miles we used and for $552 we both can go via USAir and get an additional 5,000 added to my Premiere status. With canceling two nights at the hotel because of the procedure I have to go through it would only add $350 to my total trip cost and still get us there. Jamie
just checked USAIR and our plane has lost a few but the plans still has plenty to fly down and the trip back is still sold out. Hope it doesn't change.
