No.. there was something strange because they held the contest with only 2, and there were many people that wanted in it that were told no, even when they couldn't find their 3rd pre-registerd contestant. I still couldn't believe that one was in high heels and full jewelry and makeup out at the pool...
contest you know we overlapped your stay xraider and didn actually see that contest guess it happened before we got there but the contest they were gonna have when we were there never happened cause they didn have any entries.
Maybe it was because of the playboy week that they did it that way.. while we were there, I certainly hope so. I can't imagine there not being enough people wanting to enter the contest, we could have had 2 contests with our group. They may not have all been playboy playmate material, but they were a heck of a lot more fun Noodle... hope you guys got to break in the jacuzzi.. unfortunately Andrea had a sinus infection all week and wasn't feeling the greatest.
We were there last week and they selected women from around the pool. The contest did start a bit late as the third participant tried to back out, but ended up participating in the end. Hopefully the girl that won will come on and post pictures and a link. We certainly encouraged her to check out Cancuncare
That is BS they won't let people join in. Hell I've seen like up to 6 or 7 women in the contest before. I'm pretty sure Chinos didn't have a say in it cause he would've let anyone in. Orders most have came down from a higher authority at some point. Stupid website thing they try to push is just lame for the most part. Great we vote on a body. :roll: That has very little to do with the Miss Temptation contests I've seen many times through out the years. Management and employees at the resort has always never been good enough for the higher ups. They swap people in and out so much nobody can feel comfortable, hard to apply any changes with authority, or let there changes reap the rewards they hope it does. All staff from the cleaning ladies up to mangement is always walking on egg shells. No one wants to be let go/fired as for many of them working in the hotel zone is looked upon as doing quite well for yourself by typical Cancun standards. Most have little to no rights to say anything to the higher ups without the fear of losing there job. 5+ years of great service and dedication can all be thrown out the window because of one simple complaint weather its justified or not. It's become quite clear over the years that the higher ups have a hard time understanding there in the service industry and no matter how great you are there will always be people who your just not good enough for. No reason to take that out on your employees or change your model of business. Nick and Renee
