Hidalgo st has everything you want. I believe it was 2 beers and guacamole for 80 pesos last year when we went. Live music, cheap hotels. Never rented a golf cart, just walked.
It was not what we expected, should have just swam with the Dolphins in cancun and skipped the park part! But I'm sure plenty of people love the place, just more adventure at home for us!
