Is Temptation trying to become Breathless???

Well.. Let me be clear... Breathless was not a snooze fest. People definitely partied.. Especially around 4pm on in the pool. That said, besides a handful of fun, TTR style shit shows, it was a kind of snooty version of partying with models dancing on platforms next to the dj both, no one really topless, and people getting drunk but not necessarily wild if that makes sense. It was a Vegas style pool party if your into that stuff

 

If this is they way the new TTR is looking to be, we will move on to either Desire, Hedo or Cap d'agde. We don't want to as we have made so many good friends and it really is the people that make TTR what it is.

 

Well this hasn't worked too well in the past, look at Kim Jong-il to Kim Jong-un after he died.

My wife and I just got back from Riu Palace La Americas it was a super nice resort and an extremely beautiful beach. Having said that it is no Temptation in anyway shape or form. On the first night I got in trouble for playing music loud and dancing on the balcony with about 8 people. I get it was late and I probably should not have been doing that but I don't think I would have been asked to stop at Temptation. I truly believe it would have turned in to a larger party and that is what we love about it there. I sure hope the vibe and friendly atmosphere does not change I really missed that on this last trip. We plan on going back in April with a group of about 14 if seems like it is the same as it was.

 

I can't see Original Resorts wanting to 'clean up' their image by changing TTR....I mean they still have the Desires. They are much 'dirtier' then a topless optional party place.

Okay well today is tax day so I am already bummed and now I have my first trip booked to Temptation and I am Beggining to I feel like I am late to the party as speculation is that it will be toned down quite a bit. Well I guess their is always the alternative of booking the Boobs Cruise multiple times during my trip.

 

There is nothing 'dirty' about Desire!

 

Not trying to get the forum stirred up or anything, just stating information that has been stated by people that are in the know. We've been hearing these mutterings for awhile now, even before the renovation was announced.
I think the issue has been that even though WE LOVE TTR as do all of the people on this forum, they are trying to cater to a larger crowd and if you read the reviews on most travel sites, TTR gets an undeserved bad rap. Most people don't like a loud almost naked frenzy resort. We are in the minority. We've grown accustomed to OUR TTR but at the end of the day it's about the all mighty $$$$. I heard they were losing money with all of the multiple premier members coming multiple times per year, We're guilty of it definitely, 4-6 times a year and we're not the only ones that do this.
I don't expect the overall atmosphere to change drastically but to think that there won't be ANY changes to the way they do things is foolish.
Who makes what some believe to be at least a $40,000,000 investment to keep the same old crowd. They're going after a newer younger crowd that has money to spend, that's in there own words. Read there description of what there target market is.
It will take years to wash away the reputation that TTR has so I wouldn't get to worked up about any of this Unless they do something drastic at the opening. Then the forum will explode with negativity and steer away the old crowd.
Everyone should breathe a deep breath and patiently await the August 15th reopening.

Trust me, we're booked for the opening week, if anything is amiss or crazy about what there doing we'll definitely alert everyone. I would follow Steve's lead on this issue. He has a long relationship with these people, if something were awry I'm sure Steve would have some knowledge.

Once again, my 2 cents deposited. One day I'm gonna cash them in...... Don't know what I'll get though. LOL

 

I can't be the only guy willing to pay a little more to spruce up the joint. I mean to me its worth at least another 10 bucks a night if I could have taken an axe to those god awful chairs in Paty-Os! (I mean no offense to anyone who loved them)

A bigger sexy pool will be great as well. I had to try very hard not to calculate the piss to water ratio in that thing on a packed week in August. I think straight urine would have been cooler than the "water" at some points. I mean would you ever have put your face in that water?
