I have been to TTR 14 times and i will tell you you have a great time!! Just join in the craziness and have a great time!!! People are people !!!
We also met a gay couple who were having a great time with no one thinking or looking twice. The rumor when we left last Thursday was that a group of 200 gay guys was on their way. Sounds exaggerated to me, but maybe someone who's there now will report back.
We've seen lesbian couples there, and no one had any problem with them at all. We also met a single gay guy there on our first trip. He was a riot! Helped us out of an annoying situation too when he started hitting on the drunk Iranian-Canadian guy that was hitting on our wives. I haven't seen any gay male couples at TTR personally (but I've only been twice), but I don't think anyone would care if they were there. It's a very friendly and open-minded resort.
its not so much that it is gay "friendly" as much as it is just plain "friendly". most everyone there is very respectful and decent regradless of sexual oreintation and preferences. its a very non judgemental place however....... if your a straight judgmental asshole then most who go there are not going to be very "friendly" to you. likewise, if your a gay asshole then people there are not going to be very "freindly to you either. i think ee cummings said it best, "To like an individual because he's black is just as insulting as to dislike him because he isn't white". in other words.........like a person because of whom they are inside....... regardless of race, creed, sexual orientation, underwear preference (I catch shit all the time when i lose my bottoms and people see i am brief man) and all the other meaningless bullshit............. do not like because whom they may appear to be be you and have fun and celebrate your life as you will its 2011 guys - not 1965 rob the rainbow warrior rob with his rainbow toes go and have a blast and dont worry about anything ...........just dont be a dick!!!! the best rob
