That would definitely suck...and it's the first I've heard of a mandatory bump. All in all, it's pretty unlikely that would happen, it seems, and it's more likely you'll be bumped off a flight on your way there than you will be bumped to another resort. Not worth worrying about.

If we wanted to stay at Desire, we'd pay their ridiculous rates and stay there.
TTR has never asked us, but last April at the Grand Oasis Viva, they tried, we said no about 10 times, and they actually got an attitude. We didnt budge.

Nope, I book where I book and intend on staying where I book. Im hardheaded like that. hahaha

    :)

Thats the first time I ever herd about it too, but as Donald said they will bribe you with 3 extra days on your next visit if that means I need to spend one day of my vacation at a different resort (not more than that) than I don't think I will have a problem with that.

FYI - Between Group and individual bookings - Desire RM and Pearl are already virtually sold out for both this coming April and May - O.R. probably don't want to actually have to pay to send any overbooks to another resort in the HZ.

YOu should be OK,, been a while since people have complained about being bumped,, BTW, its usually for a day or 2 and they usually offer incentives.

I guess I am going to be in the minority here. If I get offered a bump to Desire, I will take it in a minute. To be offered a resort that Costs twice as much for the same price and have better food, better booze, better rooms, better beach, better views, better service, hot tub with swim up bar, PDS without worrying about security, no saving beach chairs, no roped off area, and no singles or fights, I am in.
Yes, there is not the party that Temptation has. But the people are just as friendly. Meet them and make your own party. There are more swingers but it is not in your face. Do what you want.
Don't get me wrong, I love Temptation. It is the best value and party on the strip. We will be there Tuesday enjoying all that we love about it. Come Friday, we will move to Pearl and do the same there. Best of both worlds.:aktion030:

I know a lot of people would agree with you...but the thing about the word better is that all the things you mentioned are relative to each person's tastes, likes and what they value. The food, booze, beach, views and rooms at TTR are exactly what we want, so Desire wouldn't be better to us. We have so many single TTR friends, couples only isn't a benefit to us The party and the people are what make TTR special...so we wouldn't leave for Desire unless we had no choice. The atmosphere - according to friends who have been to Desire - is completely different...not better, though for us. I'm not saying the Desire fans are misguided...just that better is the wrong word. It just depends on what you're looking for.

I'm in sales...so I always notice when some sales guy starts selling me on the benefits of a specific new car, computer or whatever before he or she asks what's important to me, how I'll use it. I was shopping for a new car recently to use for work...I'll be the only passenger and Fuel mileage was my number one concern...but kept showing me bigger cars because they had more room. Bigger is better if I'm hauling 4 kids around...but I'm not. For me, smaller is better. Not trying to be disagreeable, but I hate the word better unless it's something measurable (better salary, better winning percentage in sports, etc), because better means completely different things to different people.
