Just heard from CCC members that are there right now. Pay the extra $$ and go to TTR, at least for now!
We paid about $3600 for 10 days. Booked flights and resort separately instead of doing the package deal (7 days) we usually do. We are paying about $300 more but that's not bad considering we are getting 3 more days!
paid 3100 for 10 days....1 stop and 2 stop coming back works for us....I think that was the best i can get....tried for few weeks and finally got a deal at expedia...you have to just keep on trying morning eve nights you will hit one day that is cheap...the sooner you book the cheaper it is...:umbrella1:
This is our 2nd yr. Flying out of Minneapolis, MN visiting Jan 29- Feb 5th last year was $2400 6 nights nonstop flights (4hrs), in at moon, out at 3pm This year was $2500 7 nights 1 stop each way (7hrs) in at 2pm out at 4pm We booked about 2 months ago. I checked a couple days ago to see what it was now and it was about the same price $2475 but it's now direct flights. So booking early doesn't always work best. But we knew we were going for sure for 60+ days and that's worth something.
April addicts are to thank for that, it's usually a sold out month. April is a killer month. What about the last week in March? Try doing flight + hotel options instead of charters and book your transfer through USA Transfers. Sometimes more days are cheaper than a week charter? Expedia.ca, Itravel2000, Sunquest? We are paying less this year for 10 nights than we did one week last year?

we booked our Jan 31 - Feb 7th trip out of Edmonton back in October ! Sunwing getting in at 2pm on the 30th leaving at 4 pm on the 7th . Direct ! (4.5 hrs) we paid $2785 standard room then canceled our transfers , and booked USA Transfers via ccc so $55 more and no refund on the package transfer. this is Dewders 8th time going to TTR and as a single 2 years ago paid $1850 ... so its a good deal this year .
Don't forget Going on vacation it's a plus! If it's too pricey then do like half of people do! stay home! The air fare is more expensive this year by like 25% why? because the fuel is more expensive, the salary don't stop going up!
