Hoping someone can help me with these questions.

Can you get internet if you have a laptop in your room at the resort?

If not do they have a fast connection on a computer you can use?

    How much do they charge?

No internet in your room but there are computers in the lobby that you can use. I think it is 5 bucks for 30 minutes, but not sure

I thought that there was going to be internet hook ups in each room after the remodeling was done. Maybe I misunderstood.

Does anyone have an update on internet service? Do they offer wireless internet in the room or Lobby? Or, do they have it set up where I can plug my laptop into the ports offered in the Lobby?

You didn't miss anything. Its coming at some point. I believe its going to be WiFi. Not sure how well that is going to work going through all the concrete walls. Won't surprise me if that is the delay and now they have to run cat5 cable to all all the rooms. That is a big job and takes alot of time and money so it won't surprise me if its being put on the back burner. Maybe when they raise are A.I. fees another $5 to $10 a person per day next year they can afford it then.

Wifi shouldn't be effected at all by the concrete.

    WiFi

Intel Corp lists concrete as one of the most significant of barriers to WiFi. I have stayed at a few hotels that had WiFi in the lobby areas but cable connect was required in the room. I was thinking of bringing my laptop also, but dread the weight and wonder if the room safe is big enough to store it. First time going! Does anyone know how big the safe in the room is?

I've taken my laptop with us each time we've been and usually just hide it in the room somewhere when we leave. I've never used it for anything other than watching movies and playing old-school games on the plane ride, so to be able to use it for web access is welcome.

... not that we'll have much time to surf the net.
