Does anyone know if I can access AOL on my laptop without doing anything to my existing service here in the States? I currently their service using my own broadband server (VERIZON) here in NY. Thanx
Nothing at all to worry about. Just go to www.aol.com from whatever computer you are on down there and you can sign in to check your mail. I used to use AOL for my internet provider service and it worked just fine. I ditched them for my ISP and still have my same email address for free now.
There is also a dial up number for AOL locally. So you can use your computer in your room in order to access ALL of your AOL features if you want. I think the cost is $3.95 US per hour and it is prorated based on the actual time you are signed on. But going to www.aol.com works just fine for sending and reading your emails as lambert suggests.
