USA Transfers We used USA Transfers last January and are going to use them again next week. I don't think we will ever do it any other way. We spent years using whatever came with our vacation package and spent too much time waiting to board a bus/van. Then going to other resorts to drop others off. Now we walk out, there is a gentleman with our name on a board, he calls the driver and a few minutes later, you are on your way.
Regular taxis aren't allowed to pick up at the airport, they are allowed to drop off so you may find a taxi who just dropped someone off to take you back. But if they get caught you could get held up, I'm not sure they'd be insured either and they're probably gonna charge you $30 one way in any case. And yes the airport to TTR via the shortest route is a good half an hour to 40 minutes drive, so 20 miles is probably not far off.
USA Transfers is the best we've found so far, and will stick with them till we hear differently. We've done the shared shuttle, and will never do that again. Taxi's are no longer an option. We do the one way trip with USA Transfers and then pay for a taxi back to the airport.
When Using USA Transfers, do you need to book in advance, or can you do it when you arrive at airport?

Does anyone know approximately how long it takes to get to TTR with Olympus Tours shared transportation? We are travelling on March 3 and arriving at the airport around 11:30 a.m.
We are going to go with the suggested USA Transfers. Sounds perfect for us. One question, how much in advance of your departure time do they usually pick you up? So if I have a 9:30am flight do they pick up 2 hours early or 3 hours or ? I am trying to decide whether to take a 9:30am or noon flight out of town so this info will help me factor in the risk of not getting up or whether we will need to just go all night. We are departing on a Tuesday and I believe Monday night is Congo bongo night?
USA transfer will email you the pick up time...ours was 2 1/2 hours before, which was actually good because they messed up our pickup at TTR for return to the airport (they said the driver got confused and was waiting at the airport for us). It all worked out fine though, TTR sent for a taxi for us and USA transfer paid for it, and we still arrived with pleanty of time before our flight.
