    Never seen cider here ever.

BTW Michael the George and Dragon never did materialise. There was one British pub in the HZ but it only lasted a couple of months. There is another downtown but no British beer I'm afraid.

The owner ended up opening a bar in Playa del Carmen, but unfortunately died a few month (IIRC) after it got going.

There is a kind of cider here, but I don't know if it's close to what you are looking for. It's what passes for champagne at big new year's parties and comes in a champagne style bottle. I know you can get it at Costco, but can't for the life of me remember what the brand name is. "Sidra" is the Spanish word you want, pronounced "see-drah".
