Padrino's has interesting food (love the Paninis, good food and service and reasonable prices. Same owner as Surfin Burrito and Sushi Hero. They are all small, but good. Surfin Burrito orders sometimes take a while to fill as they are cooked to order, but worth the wait. But Mark8076, we could write all day about incredible food at incredibly cheap prices downtown. The farther out you go, the better the food and the bargain. Most tourists don't want to take these kinds of dining adventures on too short vacations. but we locals sure enjoy our downtown options.
TJ, I think it would be a great idea if you posted your top 10 downtown inexpensive restaurants on this forum. Others who live in Cancun can also post or add, which would benefit those who do venture out.
Hey, everyone is forgetting about El Fish Fritanga… about KM 12 in the HZ, just past Isla mall. Good food and choices, especially for the very fair prices, with a nice setting on the lagoon side. Looks like a little take-a-way from the road, but walk down the stairs behind and is a nice little spot indeed. J&S
