I thought it was really crowded, more than previous years. Sometimes I feel there are more girls at Oasis too. Just sometimes. I think a lot of the girls there are on day pass so the number fluctuates from day to day.
As my first time I'm not sure of numbers, but as far as guy to girl, sometimes at Oasis there were more girls, but when you went to the clubs at night it always seemed like there were a lot more guys, but then again each place varies. Once the party got kicking at Oasis, there was definitely more guys, but if you were up bright and early, more girls. And then of course it varies by which area of the pool you were at. It was just a crap shoot. My thinking is a lot of the over protective parents didn't want their daughters in the country because they thought it was unsafe, so let's hope Mexico gets better press in the next year.
I think it will change over the next year, this year got hammered with bad press! I mean, hopefully things get better in mexico, but also for cancun. They are starting a HUGE beach recovery effort april 1st from what I am told, which will extend out the beach and cover all the rocks, so this will be very good for 2010!
my hotel was a cockfest, carabbien princess full of american blokes, went oasis few times and it seemed like there was alot more girls!!! also akon was absoloutly awesome!!!!!!!
putting in a bunch of wave blockers so that the beaches don't get ruined, I've been reading up on it too, cant wait to see what it's going to look like next year oh and the numbers were WAY up in my opinion
according to the news report I posted yesterday there ARE........... odd hun! But to be fair I have read articles about both, one saying down 5-10% and another saying its up! My buddy from studentcity said they are up from last year!
They said most aren't planning on the Mexican Spring BReak cause of the "troubles" I wasn't there so I don't know..But I tell ya what I have never thought I was in danger in Cancun thats for sure and would definately go back! http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/03/20/navarrette.mexico/index.html
