we have been to Temptations 16 times. We have made many many sugestions, but never nothing done.. If GOV is willing to listen, and make things better, that is awesome.. Our group of like 20 some people are going to GOV, mainly because of the friendly mangement at GOV.. We will see how it all works out
Seriously? You have yet to step foot at Mecca and are already disappointed - Your expectations might just be too high. You have Irish, British, Germans, Argentinians, Nicaraguans, Colombians, Americans, Mexicans, Canadians and people in age from 21 to 70 all while bringing different backgrounds. I'm sure we missed a few countries but we have met folks from all these places on one trip or another. Good luck satisfying all of these folks but they try. We're not fans of the repetition but the music is good enough and it gets people dancing. With 350 rooms, I could not imagine the queue for requests - please let them never institute a system like this as it would turn into a choppy mess of music with no flow. We like the 2-3 song sets of Latin music, most hate it.
In October the dj actually let Jen hook up her iPhone to the sound system at the point where they usually put on the pre-mix to slow everyone down (usual 4:30-5:30 depending on the time of year). Jen can be pretty persuasive though so this is definitely the exception and not the rule.
Got to agree with this. Maybe 500 plus people a night looking for nightlife around the resort with many varied backgrounds and age ranges. Imagine even a quarter of those 500 bought their ipod down and asked the DJ to play a song for them - some would bring CD's others would bring memory sticks. What a mess that would be if he tried to oblige everyone. How many of us would like 100 people a day coming along and telling us how to do our job?
this winter I tended to run out of battery on my cell by about 75... Did I say I am looking forward to April?
Back to the topic though. I too, am really impressed with the way GOV are handling their social media/publicity side. Not so much with TTR, they do have strong points but publicity/marketing has never been one of them. Makes me laugh when TTR/Desire send staff all over North America to attend porn conventions and put up a stand to attract new customers to their hotel. Then send same staff to parties in the US for groups of 40 people who visit once a year and give away free trips. Yet they ignore their biggest online fan base and pretend it doesn't exist.
Off topic again though I'm surprised how many people think that they have a say in how the resort is managed because they threw in $10K or $20K for a membership. You're not buying a percentage of the company and a seat on the board of Directors.
Unfortunately i think management at Temptation don't care at all what we think. As long as the hotel stays busy n they sell more memberships, our concerns mean nothing to them. Maybe if one day they lose clientele that will change
