I'm planning to move to Cancun, What things should I know about it !!!

Thanx so far guys for all your help and info really is helping, yeah defo i shall being hitting the spanish hard as soon as my course starts ill be over in cancun hit late november so ill be doing probing why am there.

on the subject of jobs would you guys know anything about job role in cancun along the lines of entertainment/fitness, my current job in UK is a dancer/choreographer teacher as well as fitness & zumba instructors just wondering if you guys would know anything about them kinda jobs over there?

were's the best place to look online for rental properties I been told that most landlords don't advertise online and that the best way are via local papers?

(Speaking of papers: One idea is to get a certified translator to translate all/any school and work papers you might have, into Spanish.)

There are a bunch of entertainment and dance-type jobs here, but most of them require at least "some Spanish", which wont be a problem once you start learning


Regarding rentals: Its way easier to check once you are here, trust me.

There are PLENTY of apartments/houses available for rent, and you can fins decently priced ones in nice locations. The main point is: Take your time when looking.

Also, try to set a number on how much you are willing to spend per month on rent. Makes the search easier.

Plus, Im sure many of us here on the forum are more than willing to guide you once you get here.
