OMG you guys....I would go to your travel agent and complain as loud as I could. I just booked two friends to come with us about 2 weeks ago (so kind of last minute). We are staying the 23rd through the 1st so 8 nights...with air, hotel and shuttle to and from airport in Cancun it was $1400 per person (we are in California).....

I am not trying to add to your pain, but I would definately talk to your agent and kindly ask if a "mistake" was made?

I guarentee what hurt them was the First Class. Ticket was prob. 1000 or more each. Room depending on which style was either between 150 to 250 a night. Screw first class it is a rip off. If you have to do it I would wait till the day of or the day before and you can get it for like 100 bucks extra. That is Why I say NEVER trust TRavel Agents!!!!!!!

I remember Last year when I booked in Oct I paid 99 bucks a night. When I got to the Resort so many people there were telling me they paid 250 to 300 through their travel agent and they thought they got a deal. What Idiots

Yea the first class hurt us plus we are taking a red-eye which for some reason is quite inflated in price. But any flights out of SLC for some reason are this way. I can't even fly home to Kansas for any less than $450/pp...

We are willing to take the first class though as this is our first couples vacation in 16 years so were willing to treat ourselves plus have never flown first class. We could have paid 1k less and taken a coach flight later in the day but we would have lost the entire day to nothing but travel as we wouldn't have arrived at the resort until close to 10pm.

It sucks but honestly it's well worth worth it to us. Next time we go though we'll do it a bit different.

today.. i was checking around and i went on to look at the price of rooms on the TTR site directly, I saw they had garden view rooms for $ 81 dollars US a night from middle of August i think to December 25th 2010. for any one that has airmiles it would seem to be a pretty cheap trip..

just checked again and now it says $93.00 per night.

Ya If you have the extra funds traveling first class is a good Idea. I just dont have that type of extra money. I would if my damn Cleveland Cavaliers wouldnt choke and get knocked out of the playoffs. Anyways what website were the rooms 90 bucks a night on. I searched today and lowest I saw was 132
