Price is irrelevant if we get what we want! Right?

We made out first trip last winter and loved The resort. Already booked again for December. Our biggest disappointment was the absence of hot tubs. The unheated whirlpools just didnt cut it for us so if we could request one improvement or make a change it would be for them to install at least one large hot tub, multiple small ones, or at least heat the whirlpools in the quiet pool.

I'm noticing a ground swell of opinion here.

LadyNTramp, knock off the negativity please. You always seem to have a contrary viewpoint whatever the subject, if not contrary then you have to get a lewd or sarcastic comment in.

I think you do it to get a rise out of people and it needs to stop. Check your Pm's please.

    Just my opinion:

Clothing optional - never going to happen. The beach is too well trafficked by none hotel guests and going clothing optional would cut the number of guest by half or more overnight, which could only make business sense by doubling the price, and the resort as it is could not support that imho. Temptation is a 360 room hotel with wide appeal, not like the 80-100 rooms you'll find at Desire with narrow appeal.

Couples only - I very much doubt it and I hope not. I do think they could be more strict on single guys in large groups (it seems they are making effforts at this). But groups of single guys are still only a minority.

Resort update - Temptation was one of the first hotels built in Cancun and it is showing its age a little. But very few of us go there because of the decor and amenities. Not an issue for me.

Nice Shoes - I really dont like Nice Shoes, so much that I think I have only been there twice in the last 3 years. Once when rain caused the closure of Paty O and the other time to support a cancuncare event. Too small, hot, stuffy and poor bar service. Anyone who can remember the old Nice Shoes will recall it was so much better.

Food - I dont go to the hotel for the food (who does!) but having stayed at many different hotels in the Cancun area I have to say the food is not great. The buffet I think is especially lacking, the speciality restaurants are not too bad. I think they have sufficiently skilled staff and enough of them, but I think they are working to a restrictive budget.

Bud light lime! Now that would be awesome! :)

Free wifi and heated 24 hour pool would be good. Or the hot tub idea!!!!

I'm going for my first time next week so I can't really say what could be better...but I'm sensing more of a beer/top shelf liquor choice is in order.
I think (I hope) the end of the whole "couples only/clothing optional" discussion is over because I don't think that would be a good idea for the place. As many have suggested there are two other resorts catering to that. But I WILL add my two cents about clothing optional...as someone who has frequented a clothing optional retreat close to where I live for over three years now...I can honestly say I've never seen a boner (not out in the open anyway-tent? yep) in all my time there. It's not more of a sexual atmosphere in the least. I DO think adding booze into the scene (whether it's topless or clothing optional) DOES make it more sexual because boundaries are down and people are less aware of themselves.
