oh theres a glimmer of hope , high pressure moving away and gale force westerly winds for the top of scotland , may blow the ash away from us , fingers crossed
Weather is back to normal this morning, warm and sunny with hardly any wind. Looking good for Monday at the moment.
I so wish this was true :icon_neutral: We're in Ireland. All flights for tomorrow are now confirmed as Cancelled. And it is not looking great for the days after that. Apparently we were due some wind (south-easterlys???) on Wednesday that might have cleared the ash cloud. But it now looks like they won't arrive until Friday. Also! If it rained it would help alot! And as you know it rains ALOT in Ireland But at the moment we are having an unusual sun, no wind, no rain. Not helping the situation at all. We are not flying to Temptation until end of August so hopefully we will be okay. But yes, unfortunately even if this cloud clears, the volcano situation/flight problems could go on/reoccur for a few more months.. :banghead:
Sorry to hear that Dave n Sue.......hopefully you'll get there and we will still see you guys. Maybe for more then a day then. Did you get travel insurance? and will they still make an effort to get you two there on another flight?
As it's a natural disaster not everyone is covered....fingers crossed you are Sue and Dave. I know if we get cancelled we may get flight money back but will prob loose the hotel cost.... 9 days and counting. Lynfa x
God this sucks.............hope everyone makes their trips. We also had ours cancelled last year........ended up in Hedo. It wasn't a bad trade off but we miss cancun so much.
Yeah ours was cancelled last May as well.... 2 days before we were due to leave! We went to TTR in September instead but it was gutting at the time.... surely we can't get cancelled 2 years running!!! :sauer005: Lynfa x
