we are ment to be flying monday from manchester but as of 4;15 am our time all uk airspace is shut again ....BUMMER
Haha right on Steve! Now if you can do something about that rain so we can have that Boobs Cruise on Monday I will regard you as a god among men!
Thx guy's, well we are still looking for other options but it's not looking good as everything is shut today (sat) no one seems to know when flights will reopen, quite hard to get any information as the phone lines are so busy. Well we hope something will work out, but if it doesn't hope you have a great time when you go.
well what alot of geologists we have on here, my opinion of geologists has certainly changed, not only are they very clever, but it also seems that most must love their :ernaehrung005: & :flash:, lol by going to TTR.
hope you guys make it out ok, manchester seems abit better than london, saw on the news yesterday, a guy in manchester watched his empty plane fly off to cancun, to pick up people coming back, that must hurt big time, airline said they were told they had a very short window to take off, so could'nt get anyone on board in time
Statement on Icelandic volcanic eruption: Saturday April 17, 0830 The volcanic ash cloud from Iceland is moving around and changing shape. Based on the latest information from the Met Office, NATS advises that the restrictions currently in place across UK controlled airspace will remain in place until at least 0100 (UK time) tomorrow, Sunday 18 April. We are looking for opportunities when the ash cloud moves sufficiently for us to make some airspace available within Scotland and Northern Ireland, which may enable some domestic flights to operate under individual coordination with ATC; we will be coordinating this closely with airlines and airports. It is most unlikely that many flights will operate today and anyone hoping to travel should contact their airline before travelling to the airport. We will continue to monitor Met Office information and review our arrangements in line with that. We will advise further arrangements at 1500.
Grounded flights I was also listening to the news this morning in the UK, all flights suspended until 1.00 am Sunday 18th, they will review it then. It’s not only the people flying out but the ones coming back too. There was one family been stuck in Tenerife since Thursday, they managed to get a room and put the cost on their credit card, as they had run out of money, but the airlines are not covering the cost, as this is 'an act of God' Can you imagine how much this is costing the world! Does this mean that the insurance companies are taking this stand too? I just feel so sorry for you guys that should be flying out to Temptation.
It's a little known fact that geologist are defined mostly by their Desire for booze and babes. It's a badge of honour to our people lol
