Alright, I just booked the Omni for $100 + tax on priceline. I'll probably leave work around 6PM, get to New Haven around 8-9PM. I'll check in to the hotel and call Dennis to see where you guys are around 10PM.

That is REAL good for the Omni, we could not find room when booking or that's where I would have preferred to stay. THe location is perfect! 10, we'll probably be one eye shut by that point HA, have a safe trip. Yes, is Mrs. Bear Bear still coming?? I have the day off today, I have a few things to do and I will see you all later!
Bidding on Priceline is a great option if you know your plan is not going to change (completely unrefundable). I've been able to get 4* for about $100 in major cities like Chicago/LA/San Diego and 3* for $50 in suburban towns. I even got a 5* for $100 in Prague. Check out betterbidding.com. People post their winning amount at each city so you'll have a good idea of what you should bid for and which hotels you are likely to win. You also learn some bidding strategies. Like certain cities only has 1 or 2 hotels in certain * catagories so if you kind of know what hotel you'll get if you win. I think Omni is the only 4* hotel in New Haven for Priceline.
