Interesting..... This word ' quiet ' you lot keep banding about, could someone please explain it to me as having searched through several copies of Ian's Oxford English Dictionary I cannot find any reference to it whatsoever  . Thanks in advance, and have we picked a hotel yet ? Ian
We have 2.5 months left, plenty of time... ...and the New Haven Quiet Hotel aren't answering their phones this morning... and don't believe in voicemail or automated attendants... I still think we should all rent a short bus and driver and just have him drive us to Todd's after last call every night. As Todd looks out his bedroom window at 4:30am, he sees a bunch of drunks stumbling out of a short bus, wandering up his front walk and banging on his doors and windows, bellowing English pub style chants. One he opens, we tell him the lady of the house said we could crash here, push our way through and all race towards the biggest couch. Speaking of which, what time is last call in CT?
I shall bring song sheets so we can all at least to get the words right and sing in time.   Woooooah, whats this last call malarkey ? I can see me returning back to the UK and talking complete f*cking gibberish, ' Quiet ' and ' Last Calls ' are phrases most unbecoming to the civilised English publicans ear   Ian
Last call is between 1:30 and 2:00am. But if you should be inclined to visit the "ballet" then it is closer to 3. Or they close at 3.
Carole, Is it still the case that you can't buy alcohol in a store after 9pm (or something like that) on Saturday nights?? I remember being a grocery store with some friends who lived in CT and heatring a bell go off and then an announcement over the PA saying you could no lobger purchase alcohol. Still the same?
cant buy any alcohol past 9 mon-sat anywhere, cant buy it at all on sundays, absolutely ridicolous i know, oh and last call is like 140 clubs throw everyone out 145, the ballet is open until 4 or 5 no alcohol past 145 and are def not montreal style
