2000 in Taxes??? Sheesh. Sometimes I LOVE being Canadian..We don't pay taxes on Lotteries.... Wow that is loads of money....
That is great Greta. Congrats to you! I know being able to pay off bills is one of the best feelings in the world. Bridget
So you got $8,000 after taxes ? Great idea paying someone to cash the ticket for you. My dad did that once, and it helps you and helps the other person too. I'm so happy for you !!!
So wy would Greta have had to pay $2160 in tax but someone else gets away with only paying $1000 :?: Ian
She will have to pay the full amount of taxes, not $1000.. That is just how much I gave her to sign the tax ticket... She now has the taxes to worry about... Sorry, Ian.. No Hookers.. Maybe next time.. If I would sign the ticket myself, i'd have to pay $2160 out of the 8000 back in taxes... A lady I know has a bunch of kids, and told me she'd cash the ticket for me for $800, but I gave her $1000, cause the taxes were so high.. After paying her the $1000, I now have $7000 to do with what I want, which is pay all the things I said I was going to pay, PLUS GO SHOP!!! Her tax lady told her that she should be fine by doing this. She called me today to let me know, and to thank me, that she really needed the money for her kids... So now, that makes me even happier.... Gotta go to work, and get the rest of my money.. WooooooooooHoooooooooo.
